Awesome been waiting for this thread

Anyone know what bikes will be available?

Wanna try a cb1000r

Thanks for the link, I'll probably try a ride on one of the new CBR500s.

BTW, does your insurance cover you in this type of situation? Or are you SOL if something goes wrong?

Really hoping somehow I can try the CBR600RRA this year with only a M2, considering I'm 31 with a completely clean record and I have the money to buy one today...I just want to ride the thing first (although will likely wait until 2014 as I can't stand tricolour on the RRA).

Full line up should be there. CB1000R was there last year.

From last years Come Ride With Me ...

Yeah I know/remember -- I'm hoping it will be different this year but I severely doubt it. Shame there is no other way to try one out though and they base everything off M2 vs full M, as I'll likely have 10,000-15,000km on the 250 before I can go for it in Oct (got M2 last April)

I rode it last summer. It caught me off guard. I was smiling the whole time. Fun bike.
Looks like DeWildt wound up with more than a couple Hondas from their "demo days".

Your insurance has nothing to do with demo bikes.
Drop it - crash it - scratch it, pony up.
If you've never been to a demo day, there's a waiver you need to sign prior to taking any demo bike out. Read the fine print.
(It happened on a demo day to someone I know - she was too short to tip toe, and fell over. Fairing, bar end, mirror and some misc **** - it was roughly $1600 out of her pocket)

Harley Demo Days 2013 - http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_CA/Content/Pages/Try_a_Bike/try-a-bike.html

I went last year, enjoyed it and will go again, I love trying other bikes out!

I loved the sound of the rev limiter 2 seconds into each gear secondly to the sound of chrome scraping the ground on just about every corner on Effingham.....lol.

The 600RR is probably the most sought after bike on a Honda Demo Day. You need to get there the day before, and camp out to get your name on the list. (they only bring one RR in each flavour, yet they bring 2 Gold Wings).
If you have a half decent relationship with your current Honda Dealer, there's no reason they won't let you take 'their' demo bike for a ride. Let them know you want to buy one upon being 'test ride satisfied' by placing some cash on the table, or, leave them your current ownership. If they say "no M1, no test ride", tell them politely to go **** themselves, and find a dealer that will let you take one out.

At a couple of demo days -- one a factory , the other , a dealer -- bikes were dropped and the guilty didn't have to pay anything . The event's insurance covered the damage .

Wow!! That really is fantastic news!! I've been going on demo rides for years, and missing out on the fun.
Next H/D demo day, I'm going. Rather than use the kick stand after my demo ride, I'm going to push what's left of the bike outta my way, call it a piece of crap, and dump it on it's right side. Then I'll say "NEXT".
Beemer demo days should equal the fun.
C'mon summer.

For most demo days, do you just show up and wait your turn, or do you have to book ahead for a time slot?

I'm planning on going to as many days as I can so I can figure out what my next bike will be.

Most demo days it is show up early, and book a spot.

Hopefully Suzuki still allow an M2 license to ride their gsxr's.

And yes, most are first come, first serve. If you wanna test out one of the popular bikes, make sure you're there early.
