If you're looking into the Ducati, I'd consider looking into the 796 as well. It's more money of course, but you get the extra power and the single swing arm.
i looked at the 796, i believe it's only 8hp more then the 696 and single swingarm. For me i don't see the value in going that way, it might be a good option for others but think i'll keep it to the 696.
Going to Inglis cycle in early Jan as they have a sale coming up and can pick it up in the spring with a deposit. I was considering buying the OEM monster art - monster sport 100 - but can't justify the extra cost for just painting the tank panels, front fender and wind screen sections. I'll look at finding a shop to remove them and paint them the same colour, i'm sure for less then the 1100.
