Yep, I was told the same, that my 1125R was a sport. Plus Buells get surcharged just for the name Buell. Oh- AND I'm with John Duffy.

To be fair, I'm paying 1400ish for my Buell through Duffy, yet my broker here quoted me over $4000 also through Jevco, supposedly. I think the "Buell" surcharge is ridiculous.

Why dont the Ins companies have a blanket policy like they do for multipul cars. I have 3 bikes and so far i havent been able to ride them all at the same time!!!! and i dont loan out my bikes?? 02 RC51, 85 RG500, 83 CX650t
 
John your site seems to still be giving quotes on the 2006 Ducati Monster 620 base model as though it were a supersport. The price is well above other 650ccs of the same year. Has your site been updated to reflect the changes to the Monster's class or do we need to call in for a quote?

If it's been changed can we assume it would be the same as other 650cc standard models?

Thank you for pointing this out. We are aware of the problem and our IT guys are working to get it corrected. In the meantime you could put in a bike like an SV650 as a work around. Feel free to call the office for a telephone quote. Sorry for the incovenience.
 
It would be quite neat if people would stop asking whether the bike is considered super sport if it's not on the list.
Unless it's an extremely rare model then it would be on the list if it was extra charge.
Eat some fish or nuts or fishnuts. They help grey matter grow.
 
how long before the 2012 Jevco sportbike "Blacklist" is posted?
I am hoping the new and improved and accurate list is posted soon, the bike show is this weekend!

Jevco doesn't automatically update the list every year, it may remain unchanged.

This is true, however there is some immediate good news. Any super sport bike manufactured in 1996 or older is not subject to a surcharge. Prior to January 1st it was 1995 and older. Therefore, if you have a 1996 super sport model bike Jevco will no longer apply a surcharge.
