The above noted bikes are surcharged 400%. The Company reserves the right to reconsider certain models if the need arises.

All bikes 16 years old and prior are considered Standard Models. Therefore, for the year 2011 bikes 1995 and older will be considered Standard Models.

Most of them make sense except for Triumph Sprint ST. I thought it was a sport tourer?

Other than the obviouse answer of it cost more money what does the 400% apply to.

So if i have a 600c with collision, theft and fire thats not considered a sport and it costs me 1000 to insure but if i have a 600 considered a sport it will cost me 4000?

Ahh dammit I guess they didn't include the 1996 and older models this year huh... oh well.

Actually it would cost you $5000

What happened to Buell? Are they still surcharged but not on the list since they are no longer a current manufacturer?

Shhh. I think it's best if we don't remind them of any missing bikes...

I don't work for Jevco, but I'm pretty certain that the surcharge would apply to the coverages where it makes logical sense (i.e. coverages where you have an increased chance of making a claim due to the SS power):

- Liability
- Accident Benefits
- Collision

I am quite certain that the surcharge would not apply to Comprehensive/Specified Perils, but I would have to see their manual to determine that.

Thanks John Duffy for posting the list!

What about the Street Triple? That on the SS list -- don't see it listed.

The sport bike surcharge is applicable to all coverages including Comprehensive/Specified Perils.

None of the Buells are considered sport bikes with Jevco this year or in past years.

The Street Triple is not on the sport bike list, therefore no surcharge would apply.

On second thought -- given that SS bikes are the prime target for Motorcycle thefts, this makes perfect sense. Thanks for clarifying.

That's not what my broker told me and I'm quite sure I saw Buell on a previous surcharge list.

This is why I'm confused about the Street Triple... It's a Daytona 675 without fairings basically, minus a few other small things and I've seen it on the SS list before.

Also when I called for a quote back in april they told me that my aprilia shiver is also super sports

no more surcharge on Yamaha FZ1? looks like i kno what bike im getting next season
