2011 250R Muffler Suggestions?

what do you mean by stealth like? look wise or noise?

For noise get the area p with quiet core for stealth
for looks, you can't beat the yoshimura tri-oval. sexy as ****

stock. everything else sounds terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible. Sounds like a massive fart that never ends.

The GFs bike had a 2 brothers slip on, I put it back to stock to make it sound better.

2 brothers pipe for sale :)

Only ones worth having are the Area P if you want a full system or the Akra slip on, and only if you're keeping the bike for a few seasons.

Stock. Ride behind any 250R with a pipe and you'll understand.

thats why you ride in front...but yea majority of them sound like **** but the Leo Vince is another nice one I forgot to mention before.

The trouble here is the firing order of Kawasaki parallel-twins in general (the EX500 is like this, too).

Single cylinder with a pipe ... sounds good (like a dirt bike). V-twin with uneven firing order like Ducati ... sounds good (like, well, a Ducati). Parallel twin with even firing order like BMW F800 ... sounds terrible. Parallel twin with 180-degree firing order like Kawasaki parallel twins ... sounds terrible.

Some parallel-twins from other manufacturers have been going to a 90-degree crankshaft to emulate the Ducati firing pattern ... but not this one.

"there can only be one"

google Area P full exhaust.

amazing stuff, and very nice price. Also comes with jet kits and instructions. Many 250 racers use these.

fixes the 250 nicely.

8 hp gain or something too

8HP?! What are you trying to do, kill him? That's too much power!

I've seen that dyno chart, and it's only near 8 hp at the very extreme top of the powerband right at redline, and it's not "really" 8 hp because with the stock exhaust, the peak power is higher a little below redline than it is right *at* redline. At the RPM at which the stock bike makes peak power (and everywhere below that), there is much less difference. Still more than stock, but whether it's worth the extra noise ...

I have skepticism about all dyno charts provided by the vendor/manufacturer of the parts in question. Conflict of interest.

I have the Area P Quiet Core full system & I love it. It growls & has a deep rumble, but it's just slightly louder than stock. Videos don't do it justice, imo (but this one comes really close http://vimeo.com/1292929). I love how mine sounds now, but I recorded a video and I swear it sounds like a stock exhaust (lol)

Realistically, you'd be lucky to get a 6hp gain. I'd expect 4 or 5 if it's jetted properly & all that jazz.

performance wise, you are looking at minimal gain from modding a muffler on a 250....i would leave it stock and invest the money elsewhere , you probably get bored of the bike and sell it before the season ends..
