As the title says, my question pertains to my bike listed above.

I'm new to riding and my bike does not have a fuel guage.
I was wondering from other F4 riders, how much fuel do you have left, or how many km's approx are left in he tank once the Low Fuel Light comes on?
I'm aware that it'll vary from person to person based on how they drive, but i'm just lookin for an approximate figure....

Thanks

Good idea to reset the trip meter with each fill up. You will get a better idea of how much farther you can go.

Does the bike have a reserve? It should say in your manual or on-line how many litres the tank is and how many litres the reserve is. Then figure out your mileage (simple math) and then you should be able to figure out how far you can go on that.

I've ridden my bike for ten years and can tell by the KM on the trip metre and by how I've been riding how much gas I have left to within 1-1.5 litres. Its crazy.

Hi,
I have the same bike. I usually get about 250 KMS and I've pushed it to about 275ish but I was pretty nervous.

As an additional poster said, reset the trip meter after every fillup and that will be your gage, works like a charm.

Great fun bike, enjoy the ride.

OK, don't listen to me, and run out of gas.

see if I care.

like the others have said. I gauge by KM's and reset my meter every time I fill up. I was forced to learn this way as none of the bikes I've owned had a fuel gauge.

If the bike is not fuel injected, it should have a reserve fuel tap.

Fuel injected bikes will have some kind of light indicating that fuel is low.

Bikes with reserve petcocks should be set back to the "on" position after re-fueling.

Re-set the tripometer and pay attention to how far you can go on a tank of gas.

If you forget to return the petcock to the "on" position.............

Gas tankes are made like a big upside down U. There will still be fuel left on the opposite side of the fuel tank.
You need to lean the bike in the direction of the petcock, so that extra fuel on the opposite side can slosh over, so you can ride a few more miles.

Is that any better?

ive run out of fuel at 310... usually 250 is good...

The only problem with this is that the F4 doesn't have a reserve tank. When the tank is empty the tank is empty. The petcock is an on/off switch on the F4.

When I previously had an F4 I would do about 200-220km before the light would turn on. Once turns on approximately 20-30km reserve I think.
