2 tix at once

Any final tips before my court date? I did notice some of the notes are in short hand writing and he also wrote down the wrong model of car. Can I still request a transcript ect..... Is there a deadline for.additional request?

Not 100% sure, but i've seen people request disclosure on the day of trial and they had it adjourned. One time I had clearly requested for typed notes but I didn't get them in time so I was able to have the date pushed back...

The problem with that is if it's adjourned for disclosure to be received, the delay then goes to the accused. It doesn't count towards 11b submission.

Generally 45 to 60 days before your court date is enough of time for them to handle an additional disclosure request, transcript, etc.

The note only has the distance between himself and Myself. He didnt noted the distance between himself and the beginning of the 50 zone. Could that be used as my defense?

Simple. Go back and measure it yourself. You know where he was standing when he lidar'd you. Start at that point and head back towards the speed limit sign. Will tell you if you were in the reduced speed zone or not, plain and simple. Measure it with several different options (vehicle odometer, gps and a meter-wheel (you can make a 1 meter circumference disc on a stick and count revolutions) to verify accuracy.

I drove by and check with my odometer and it seem to be around the same distance where he got my speed and where the speed zone is reduce ...isn't the police officer job to keep track of the distance from where he is conducting the speed trap to where the speed limit is reduce? He should keep note of that I'm my opinion .....

Unfortunately, your opinion means diddly. The only thing that matters is the law and the procedures manual of the police department.

If you were as much as 1 meter inside the reduced speed zone he can nail you for the speed you were going. There's got to be a warning sign indicating a reduced speed limit ahead.

Again, I would get a distance measurement as close to exact as you can get. If that measurement puts you outside the reduced speed limit sign (according to the distance indicated on the disclosure and ticket) then you have reasonable doubt to put you into the free and clear.

the OP was travelling 72 in an alleged 50 zone; the outside zone has to atleast be 80

I was reading over the disclosure note and i notice that in his notes he states the roadway that i was travels north/south but it runs east/west and he also states that he was standing on "X" side of the street when he was really standing on the opposite side of the rd. He also says that next major rd is about 50 M away when its really about 800 M away. He also has the model of my car incorrect in the notes too.

Most of his notes are inaccurate. would that be grounds for the charges to be dismissed? would i bring this up in front of the JP or to prosecutor before court?

I'm planning to arrive half hr or so before my court time.

It's not enough to get the thing tossed, but it might be enough to generate reasonable doubt. You would have to do it by questioning the officer and then getting him all screwed up over his recollection of the incident. "Did you have to cross the road in order to get to my vehicle?", etc. This sort of thing is generally better handled by a paralegal, who is experienced in this sort of thing.

Thanks for the advice...its almost time for court....any final words of wisdom before my court trial?
Thanks for all the help and support...I will keep u posted on the outcome.:.......

When is your court time? If it's the 11am or afternoon sessions show up at the court at 9am and sit in the court rooms and listen to peoples defences. Only about 2% of them will actually have a defence, but you can also listen to the paralegals/lawyers, get the lingo and process down pat so when it's your turn you look like a pro.
