$2.83 Environmentally friendly carburetor cleaning

I have a spare fuel tank that I'd like to use on my track bike. Little bit of rust on the neck and a little bit inside the tank as well. Just dump this stuff in the tank for an hour or two and call it a day? I'll be removing the fuel pump if that makes any difference, thanks!

hopefully it's just surface rust, and not big flakes....

wash the tank out with vinegar and water mixture 50/50 or more white vinegar if rust is heavier, pour in let it sit for a while, once drained rinse with baking soda to neutralize the acid, dry well, you can fog with WD40, or fill up with gas if your ready to go....
