1st track day of the season @ TMP May 2nd

Yea it took me a couple track days to get it right... Feels right now though.... I wouldn't go back. And yes the slipper clutch saved my transmission lol I screwed up a lot at first

lol :)

Now if I could just find some of those GP shift stickers to stick on my dash and tank to remind me :(

I don't even touch the clutch on my upshifts as it is now, I left off the throttle and pin it and repeat. I only use my clutch for down shifts

Ok so your doing it right then, just looks like a lot of hand movement. Try putting a bit of pressure on the shifter before you roll off it should slip in easier.

So, slowly shift as I'm rolling off? Instead of rolling fully Off?

It's such a fast action that I can't barely think that fast enough let alone do that lol I would love to get a quick shifter so I could be fully on now, but I'm not spending $500+ just so I can be lazy. I'm not racing, so it's not a must for me. Would be nice for the lap time but oh well

Yup, just a bit of pressure and a slight roll off and you'll go up a gear. It's pretty easy when your going down a straight but everywhere else I used the clutch to keep it smooth.

I only upshift down the straights at tmp anyways lol I'm in 2nd the rest of the lap with the R1 lol

If you wanted to throw some money at it anyway, you could get your ECU flashed to YEC (you'll loose your turn signals, speedo becomes coolant read out, etc. etc.) then all you'd need is a QS sensor ($200 for brand new). There's a guy on the R1 forum (or maybe R6 forum) that does the YEC flashes, "yamaharacing" or something.

I have the YEC software I can give ya for tuning it after the flash as well.

Yikes :( That's using youtube's stabilizer function right? Do you have the non-stabilized version up as well?

-Jamie M.

Yes that's the Youtube stabilizer,... And no the non stabilized one isn't up. Trust me, I'm actually impressed by how good of a job Youtube did at stabilizing this. Some weird video distortions but overall, great job

And watch the video at 10:20, my rear end slips out on me a bit and was a Lil scarey theand also at 12:05 iI got a mad speed wobble, that actually doesn't look that bad on film but was pretty violent

Ohhh nice, your 10:20 slide corner is my fav corner at TMP (followed by my least favourite). I can't believe how good you cook it through turn 6, I'll have to work on that.

What steering damper you running? That was a pretty bad shake, a bad spot for it to right beside the concrete wall :(

And why does ish NEVER look as bad on video? On my last ride up to the 507 I did a BIG slide (cold/dirty tires, first corner) and it messed up my line enough to point me into oncoming traffic so took a lot of correction. When I downloaded the video after it just looked like a bit of a wobble! lol. I think I'm going to put a camera down low on my fairings, by my front tire (might even do it sideways, I got a freaky setup for quad cameras), maybe it'll catch more of the "action" down there.

Hypertrophy, almost fully tightened.

Turn 2,and turn 9 (the quick left before the double apex right, just before the straight) are my favourite

And it happens s so fast that when your watching you don't really notice wobbles or slides
