Fuelled by Fahrenheit coffee

I'd expect that the Jumpstart thing would be interesting for non-riders:

I wonder if they'd allow redline in each gear (dyno run style)... LoL...

Organize a group ride there?
Everyone show up in full race leathers on SS bikes?

It'll be like the mods and the rockers again...
Great.
Now I have to watch Quadrophenia again.

Honestly, I was a little skeptical when I first heard about this. But if they're serving up a perfect blend of coffee, conversation and motorcycle culture consider me a fan. Non of the places I hang out at could compete at this level, but to be fair, they weren't designed for a perfect blend of anything from the ground up. No pun intended.

Where's the high speed fan in front of that thing? Somebody goofed.

It looks like that JUMPSTART contraption accurately simulates the lean angle of the average HD. I kid! I kid!

And the exhaust is piped directly to pressurize the espresso maker to add that true "Harley" flavour!

I remember when Ossington (south of Dundas, anyway) was a succession of dingy Vietnamese karaoke bars, Portuguese auto garages and rental housing, ending at CAMH on Queen Street. Old MacDonald the linotype caster was a real character too. Nothing seriously dangerous, just run-down with people doing their own thing. Kind of miss that about pre-WORLD CLASS CITY Toronto. It's wealthier now, but money is dull and conservative. A Harley Davidson cafe will fit in perfectly.

I feel exactly the same way. We moved to St. Clair/Oakwood a couple of years ago, and I kind of like the grit. Some good neighbourhood bars and restaurants, but enough dives and weirdos that the designer-stroller brigade still steers clear.

First Starbucks moved in a few months ago, so it won't last long.

So the Scottish HD advertising for the HD Cafe looks like this..

I think the market the T.O. one is more hipster style...

Heh, it's not all bad. Check out The Greater Good at Geary/Dufferin. It's a craft brew bar that shares space with a North Of Brooklyn pizzeria plus a bonus arcade on the mezzanine. It took me back decades to the smoky billiards of my youth. The cabinets are missing the cigarette burns and soda residue but they only cost a quarter to play! Not a bad mix of titles, though I was hoping for Dragon's Lair. Loved wasting money on that one. The place is definitely aimed at the hipsterish crowd, but it's up to us to dominate the high score lists!

That sounds awesome! (Sorry for the thread hijack...)

It does look like it may be geared more towards the hipster type But, i may still ride over and check it out. Who knows, could meet someone who also likes to talk about bikes - drink coffee and ride. Worth a visit.

Agreed. I'll swing by next time I'm in the area myself.

Don't mind me. Just having some fun. I'm just jealous there's no Triumph branded pub. ;-)
