The folks at the local dealer told me yesterday that they have orders for 11 of them.Wow!

Judging by this onboard video, the bike definitely has some real performance. It looks a whole lot like what one of my GSX-Rs has for power, with the 150km/h+ power wheelies.

100+ ft-lbs will do that!

What an incredible circuit too...

i have ordered one form gp bikes in oshawa. i saw their list or sold with ppl's phone numbers and they just have few left. the tri-color and all bikes with abs are sold. first one will be arriving in april and mine is suppose to be in May.

I am really tempted... !!!

A more extreme riding position, if you are using it to commute on in/through the city the 848SF should be a more comfy ride mainly due to a more upright position.
Though many would say that they use their SS's as a commuter all the time I don't think you can argue that a more upright position would be less comfortable than a stretched SS riding position.
Anyway the comment was meant more as a small humerous dig to OpenGambit.

Haha...old-er maybe...still like the look of the SF, though I can see how the Panigale can corrupt. It would be one heck of an attention getter and rarer than the SF that's for sure.

I didn't know you were talking about the Streetfighter 848. Yeah definitely way more comfortable and streetable than an 1199.

oops my bad, forgot 848 alone is a multi bike ref

Well quite the price difference too!

Typical sales pitch hype mate... Ducati want to sell these bikes if you want one you will be able to get one. Ducati aren't going to not supply the demand.

I'm a Ducati salesman. I respect your opinions, topendz, based on what I've seen in the past, but you are wrong on this. We ordered 17, we got 17 downpayments, then we were given two more from a Quebec dealer who couldn't live up to obligations. Ducati only builds to pre-orders, they are far too small to have non currents every year. Ducati are already not supplying the demand.
