1 pc. or 2 pc. suit for tracking?

the more I think about it now 1 pc is the way to go... if you should go down, as someone mentioned I dont want to be sliding across the track with a failed seam or zipper with the jacket in my armpits. The more seams and zippers the more chance of failure, Im sure 1 pc arent perfect but less chance I guess?

I wouldn't buy anything A* period

snipes - did the zipper hold up in a slide?

I have had the suit now for between 30 and 35 track days (lost count). I have gone down in it a total of three times. first I went of the track and into a mud puddle. no damage to the bike, me or the suit. Second time I lowsided in a fast corner. lots of damage to the body work of my bike and a clip on, suit held up again with nothing but a small hole in the arm and lots of rash on the right side of the suit. third time was a highside at shannonville last weekend and I landed on my head first so I would have to say that the suit has done everytihng that I asked it to and more. zipper has never come close to ripping lose or coming undone.

In before he says Alpinestar hahaha

Sounds like you just challenged the racing gods!;) May I ask what kind of suit?

It is a Technic. Not sure of the exact model but the only thing that I wish was better in it is the padding in the hip area. everytime I crash I bruise in that area.

Ive. never raced John, just track days till next weekend

I still wear a spyke 2 pc that i've had for over 10 years(street, trackdays, raced)crashed in it twice(knock on wood) and just this year the front zipper is fraying, hard to do up sometimes.I've had many suits over the years but spyke has literally saved my butt so i use theirs(not cheap but cheaper then skin graphs).IMO if you think you might give racing a try,go with a good quality 1 pc(extra piece of mind that the zipper won't fail) if your just doing trackdays and also like to be protected on the street get a good quality 2 pc.Either way, don't cheap out on any gear.
John has seen it all,he would know.

I crashed in my 2-piece last year at Mosport sliding on my side and back and the zipper stayed together just fine. My new 1-piece feels much more comfortable though.
