Her offer was $3k towards the price of the bike, and if I ever sell it I'd pay her back $2k. Plus half of the yearly insurance/registration fees. Pretty tempting.
I agree, I'm leaning towards a 2nd gen MT-09 right now, but will likely wait to see what the deals are in the spring. If I can get...
I was listening to the Paddock Pass Podcast the other day and I think it was Gordon Ritchie who said that they're also getting back the revs that were taken away last year, and according to the engineers he talked to, that was a bigger deal to them than the weight.
Personally I think Bautista...
I'm in a weird situation where I don't particularly want a new bike, and nothing on the market really jumps out at me, but I'll likely buy one anyway.
My sister lives in Japan but comes back to visit once or twice a year and always wants to ride with me when she's back. I just have my Versys X...
I've heard really bad things about the WSBK app, which is a shame because the racing is so good. Dorna needs to get it together.
Regarding graphical gimmicks, one thing I never noticed until someone pointed it out to me is that in the MotoGP broadcasts, they stabilize the onboard cameras so...
My wife and I were long distance for 2 years when we were dating, Kitchener to Montreal. I did the drive along the 401 every other weekend. Needless to say this challenge does not sound appealing to me lol.
I would love to do an Iron Butt ride eventually, but doing one just for the sake of it...
Yep, it's a 1 day course here if you have a car license...3 hours of theory and 4 hours of riding. It's crazy how many of them you see on the roads in Quebec, they're all over the place.
Mutual funds aren't always a bad thing. TD e-Series funds for example have a very low MER and are a decent product. The problem is that it's not in the banks interest to sell you funds with low MERs and they don't make it easy to buy them.
Back in 2014, a woman in Quebec stopped her car in the left lane of a highway (with no shoulder) due to ducks crossing which led to the death of a father and daughter on a Harley. It received a lot of publicity and there was a long thread on here about it: Quebec Trial - Car Stops to help ducks...
I rented a bike in Lisbon a few months ago, it was a great experience. I'll echo the other comments that riding in Lisbon/Sintra wouldn't be that fun with all the congestion...I rode straight out of the city once I got the bike. First out west to Cascais, then through the Parque Natural de...
Went to my first race this year in Portugal. I was debating between MotoGP and WSBK, but getting 3 races + paddock access + a pit lane walk for $100 was an easy choice vs $250+ for a grandstand seat at a MotoGP race.
WSBK is incredible with how much access you get...I met Johnny and Toprak...
The Hunter's 350 engine dynos at 17.8hp, while the TU250 is 14.8hp but weighs 80lbs less...they're pretty comparable.
The Rebel 300 is 25.1hp and is 30lbs lighter. The Hunter is only really comparable with the Honda H'Ness which is also an air-cooled single that we'll never get in Canada.
I...
I'm not surprised it's a big seller elsewhere, but I don't think there will ever be a big market for bikes that you can't safely take on the highway in North America. How many VanVans or TU250s do you see around?
