So, the air exhaust and air intake are at the same height protruding out of the house. The exhaust pipe has a 'T' at the end, one pointing down and the other pointing up. The intake has an 90 elbow pointing down. He'll make the exhaust higher than the intake and will not put back the 'T'...

So I did all the advise, ie. hot water on tub, oven at 300c, borrowed some electric heater as well which heated the house temporarily. Friend of a friend was a HVAC tech, so he came by...looked at the furnace, tested with jumper cable and it was firing...so he went through everything and found...

No, not yet. I already checked Kijiji, Google etc. but not sure which one does good service and I don't get charge a ton. On our older home, same thing was happening..thermostat is trying to fire the heat but not firing and I found the culprit, a blocked hose coming from the blower to condesate...

Anybody knows a reputable company or person who can check and service furnace / HVAC in Brampton or GTA? Of course on the coldest day of winter (so far) our furnace started acting up. Heat doesn't turn on. Tried adjusting the temp but it does nothing; the fan activates when i switch it to 'on'...
