Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2024 Edition)

Since you are already east, how about a nice lunch in Calabogie at the Redneck Bistro and on your way there or back, hit up the newly paved South Lavant Road.

Up in Bracebridge tonight and no brine or sand anywhere that I’ve seen so far.

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2024 Edition)

Yeah it’s pretty decent in daylight and definitely with cupped hands to shield it in bright sunlight. I also mount it to the bars at about 90% tightness, so I can slightly rotate to face me a bit more when needed.

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2024 Edition)

To monitor my electrical draw from the heated gear, I recently bought this little voltmeter and it's pretty sweet...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2024 Edition)

Well if you have never been to the Smokies, that's as good a trip as any. If you can take 2-3 weeks for a trip, then you can even hit up some of the east coast too. Make it 4 weeks and you can have a great trip out west. Do it over 5 weeks and do it all.

    L/F Dash Cam Recommendations

Scored a brand new Vantrue F1 for a great deal on Marketplace. Looks like a really nice unit!

    L/F Dash Cam Recommendations

Thanks - that's pretty similar to what I was thinking of and wiring it in should be pretty easy on my bike. Leaning towards this one: Falcon 1 (F1)

    L/F Dash Cam Recommendations

Bump! Somehow I started thinking about getting a front/rear dashcam for my bike and it looks like the video quality has improved greatly since this thread started. I've read that when installing them, to make sure they are away from the brake or headlights to avoid glare and fuzzy images...

Things you didn’t know until later in life

I don’t have kids and no one told me about no Dad tax! It might have balanced itself out because as he got older I definitely ate a lot of his junk food when he wasn’t looking:)

Things you didn’t know until later in life

When I was a kid, we used to go out on Halloween with pillow cases to collect all the candy. There were lots of wealthy homes near us who gave out some huge amounts of stuff, like a 50pack of chiclets or large bags of twizzlers and nibs, and some houses even gave out a handful of loonies to each...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I'm with you here. Anything below 20deg and I like to be wearing my heated gear. Below 5deg and I'll bust out the heated socks.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Following the video that @bitzz posted a while back regarding Seafoam, I bought a bottle of Techron and just put some into the gas tank. Was going to have the carbs serviced this winter, but since the bike is running pretty good, maybe this is enough. I also did this on my driveway, but didn't...

Has the city lost it's mind...

I actually embrace the small mom and pops or independent places that look like a hole in the wall and serve ethnic dishes from their motherland. Food often tastes great with added bonus of building the immune system at the same time.

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

All excellent advice so far. 100% the bike should be washed and dried for listing pics. And don't take the pics right after washing, when the ground is still wet. And definitely take several pics of the bike with the bags off. Maybe even a couple pics with the windshield off - many people...

    2024 Day Trips

That's a great route and South Lavant Rd is in amazing shape for the most part. I added a bit more if you don't mind an 8hr route: Kanata Town Centre to Kanata Town Centre
