Not a riding trip but Motorcycles at the center of it (like our last several trips) this time heading to the Red Bull Ring in Austria for MotoGP this August. We always hit up the surrounding region/countries and make a 2 week + trip out of it.

Haven't been to a show in several years, bikes stored in the garage for a couple of summers (we did just buy a scoot scoot to scratch the itch this fall). Show might be a good way to bump start to a full summer. Always like walking around and sitting on all the bikes and seeing what new stuff...
I have 'em, I like 'em. None of mine I regret but I have started covering some with better artwork. I don't think I'll ever be done getting them but I go long periods without any work being done. I've fallen asleep while being tattooed (Bicep) and I've experienced some of the worst pain I've...
UPDATE: I kept forgetting to post, but the bike was finally removed late October. As I walked by I commented out loud and a dude standing next to his bike said he watched them take it away and offered to buy from them LOL.
Like the title states, does anyone here have experience traveling to Austria to see MotoGP? I'm looking for hotel and or other recommendations for the area. Anything I should know about visiting & probably renting a car in Austria.
Thanks.
That was never mentioned when I rented the last two times at two different locations. Once I did also rent a ramp (bought a scooter) and the other time was a dump run. The website even mentions one of the vans as fitting a Queen size bed and they don't sell those.

Last time I went to rent uhaul I noticed there was no free km, after I did some rough calculations on how far it was way cheaper to get a home depot truck and I noticed they allow you to reserve ahead at a bunch of locations. I had a nice bonus of a new van with only 400km.
I loved watching it when it came out, "1899" from the same producers isn't bad either. Still a shame it never got more than on e season.

Did this is 2011. Just around 7,000km bike (2008 KLR) & ferry. Google maps wouldn't route via Argentia NL to N. Sydney so I added it myself (in blue). It was a group ride till I hit Gros Morne, had a friend re join to St. Johns and then met up again with people from the earlier section on...

Certainly not my fist album but first with my own money.
Firsts were "Sesame Street Fever" on 8 track.
First Requests for gifts were Phil Collins "No Jacket Required" & Bryan Adams "Reckless" (Cassettes)
Pretty sure the signage is still up on Duncan (S of Queen) And Simcoe (N of King), cars ignore it all the time, you can still park for free on the street regardless of signage.
Rode it 14yrs ago as part of doing the Trans Labrador, it was fun little blast before the pavement ended. Like MacDoc said, just strap a 5L jerry can to the bike and you'll good to go. Pack a lunch and have a roadside picnic.
While I haven't done a tour you can when your there...
