Pilot Road 2's are plenty sticky for the road, are excellent in the rain and i'm near 9k on my rear and plenty of life left. I should easily get to 18k before calling them done. My bike does see some pretty aggressive riding quite often. No track yet.

As others have said the car could be A-ok or it could have issues all through its life. You are the only one taking a gamble on this which means you are the only one who can lose. If the car turns out to be A-ok and you own it for years and years with only the need to do regular maintenance...
