I'm shopping for a new helmet most likely this year as mine are all coming up to 5 years old. Just curious who has one and what they thought of that particular model ?
Don't need to hear about how unsafe they are yada yada ... I've got solid chin bars now and I'd like to have a flip face for...
$1000 off that isn't very much ...
I bought my a 2005 ST1300 in June of 2006 it was 19.5k MSRP and I got it for 14.5k plus accessories plus taxes. This was from Dewidlt Honda in hamilton
I got a 2003 Kawi 750 bought new in 2004 winter, MSRP was I think 10k and I got it for 6.5k plus tax...
I had a push to talk Chatterbox way back in the day. It was ok but used FRS bands so you had decent range.
I moved up to a Scala Rider when they first came out and found that I did not like the push button controls. I have XL sized gloves and they did not push well with the buttons.
I...
I usually just wash my bike on my driveway ...
having said that when I used to ride alot in cold weather and have salt spray acumulate on the bike I have taken it to the car wash self wash stations. I just use the soap and spray function, never tried wax. I just used a towel to dry the seat...
I was ok when they first came around years ago. I've driven down in Aussie and they have signs posted that there are camera's ahead... I have no idea why the government puts signs up saying a speed camera is coming up LOL
In Europe I passed tons of speed camera's on the bike and only a few of...
I have bought most of my bikes used (either private or from a shop / dealer). The couple of new bikes I did buy were off the showroom.
However, my 1 ST1300 did come out of the crate. After we signed the deal for the crated one ~ he offered me a choice of the floor model or the on in the...

Something different ... perhaps call one of the local colleges that have a bike mechanics course and ask if they would like a donation of a bike to the program ?
to the OP about disc locks...
if they tried to move your bike and you had a disc lock on it and the person knows nothing about bikes and starts to move it, hits the disc lock, loses his balance and drops the bike...
sure you don't get a ticket but now you have a bike that's been dropped and...
So your stance on this would be that since its the new guys problem ... however if you advertised it as blue plated street legal dirt bike then you would be selling under misrepresentation and liable to a lawsuit no ?
I have bought a bike from Markham Outdoor Power (on 48th) and used them for servicing before (a few years ago) they were late in delivering (they claimed parts were delayed getting to them) but this was a warranty item on electrical so could have been, who knows they could have been milking the...
While I hate to admit it, I believe this is a sobering and true post above... if she didn't mean for it to happen she can't really be charged for anything criminal. someone also mentioned if this was an SUV vs SUV probably would have just been a fender bender and 2 insurance companies paying...
I know someone who stores his bike out by the airport in a storage locker (drive in) ... the unit has power (electricity) and a workbench and he puts I believe 4 bikes in there at $350 / month. much cheaper then downtown.
I used ROAM mobility going to the GAP and on the Interstate it was fine. HOWEVER, when IN the GAP area you had 0 signal. I even paid the extra coverage for $1.00 / day extra and didn't get anything out of it
I'm guessing he meant 5k IN LENSES ...
To anyone that is buying DSLR's don't waste your money on the consumer level lenses that can be bought for 200 bucks (e.g. the 18-55 that comes with it and the 55-200) get lenses that have a constant aperture of F2.8 or better. Usually those have better...
