    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

That's how I got the '01. It was supposed to be a donner-bike, but plans changed when I decided to winter-ride. But it was $2000 two years ago. The only GSX750F's I see for $1000 are junk.

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

The first link didn't work. I had fixed it, and it works for me, but there may be a cache thing. Here's the second video link again. I appreciate your advise, but I don't expect you to sit through these videos. I just wondered if you are familiar with the channel and know if they are reliable...

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

What do you mean by "grey Katanas"? My '03 was factory grey, but I get the feeling your not talking about the bikes colour.

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

After watching a couple videos on the fork seals, this is the one I used: This is one I was looking at for the engine work, early research from a year ago that I haven't gotten back to yet:

So, connect both hot and both neutral to the same outlet, and that would draw power from both legs to spread the load?

    Not yet! :ROFLMAO:

My compressor is a 240v 60 gallon Husky. That sounds really cheap for copper wire. I would need about 150' of 2 awg to reach from box-to-box. Apparently you can have a junction, it must be one continuous piece.

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

In the long-run, I might do both, but that depends on how my first experience goes. I grew up working on cars. Although I've never done my own engine rebuild, I've done everything else. Engine swaps, tranny swaps, etc.. For some reason, my bike intimidated me and I always took it to my...

I'll let my wife know you said it was okay. Hahaha!

That's a lot of water! Wow. I have an 8 inch exhaust fan now, but I've also just picked up a 16" exhaust fan. I'll be installing that soon. The breaker doesn't pop immediately, but for example, I was in the garage with my 9 year old last weekend refinishing an axe handle. We had the...

    Cold Hands

It's a long way away, unfortunately. I'm gonna start setting money aside to upgrade it. I priced it at close to $2000 for the wire. If the government were to let us keep more of our hard-earned money, I'd like to take down this garage and build three bays across the back of my yard. I like to...

    Engine Swap - Keep Original?

As a lot of you know, I have an '01 and an '03 GSX750F. The '01 is for winter use (not on the road this winter because the tank, carbs and other things are removed), and the '03 is for summer use. The '01 has about 50,000 kms and the '03 has about 65,000 kms. The '03 has what sounds like a bad...

You're exactly right. I'm often surprised at prices these days, and that's doubled with motorcycle gear.

    Cold Hands

I have those on my winter bike. The problem is, it's in pieces at the moment. My garage isn't heated so I've been working on heating it. I picked up an electric heater from Princess Auto, hung it from the ceiling, then found out that that guy that I bought my house from 4 years ago lied about...

    Cold Hands

I just remembered a trick I worked out last season with the latex gloves. I would put on a pair of those thin knit gloves, as a layer of insulation and to allow the skin to breath, then slip a pair of Grease Monkey gloves over them, and follow that up with my gortex winter gauntlets. I did this...

Interesting. I'll have to try that. Thanks. Still doesn't work on the backs of the fingers, though.

    Cold Hands

I looked into them last season. I bought a few to try, and the heat doesn't reach the backs of the fingers where the wind contacts the gloves, and since they don't have an off switch, the heat is down to a slight warmth after an 8 hour shift, so I could be using 2 per day if the afternoons are...

    Cold Hands

I have a two piece snow mobile set and warm boots, so I'v never felt cold in the torso, legs, feet or arms all last winter. I think the coldest I rode in was -17C. And I had Bark Busters and heated grips on that bike, so I never thought about a warmer body keeping the extremities warmer. That's...

    Cold Hands

I forgot that I bought heated gloves at the end of last winter. You just reminded me! That'll help.
