Downsizing from a Blackbird, Would you do it?

good suggestions, thanks. Finding my neck, back and hands sore...maybe because I forgot to load up on Advil before I rode yesterday. Yes for all the XX would fetch I would probably keep, however 2 insurances out of the question

Downsizing from a Blackbird, Would you do it?

Since I am getting a little long in the tooth I am coming close to pulling the trigger on buying a used Suzuki GSX650F to set up as a mid-size sport-touring bike. Presently riding a mint CBX1100XX Blackbird but finding it pretty uncomfortable these days. You can see below the bikes that I have...

When are you taking your bikes out?

Got out for the 1st time this morning for a 30 minute ride. Pretty windy and cold but you can't beat a heated jacket...just miss the heated grips that my K1200S had. Did not see any other bikes out in the rural Cambridge area where I was riding. The "Bird" fired right up and ran superb....as usual!!

When are you taking your bikes out?

As anxious as I am to get riding, I will wait for a few rains to clean the roads, temperature is not an issue...here's to a great riding season!!

    Seeing this bike tonight...thoughts??

I would not be the least concerned about the age of the bike (Honda) and it has extremely low KMs. Price is your call, worth what somebody is willing to pay

Fully faired middleweight sport-tourers - the exotic class? Which is best?

Forgot to mention that my CBR1100XX Blackbird is dated and a little over your engine size range but a sport-touring BEAST!

Fully faired middleweight sport-tourers - the exotic class? Which is best?

Although not in your engine size class the Suzuki GSX650F is an excellent choice for a smaller size sport-touring option. A little heavy and a little dated however great fun for the money

    Anyone touring this weekend?

Heading to Port Dover from Cambridge with my daughter on Sunday, hope the rain holds off for her sake. I would rather ride in the rain than not ride at all!!

    Triumph sprint experience

Since the question was about a Sprint ST I will respond to that. I had a 1999 version with the 955 engine. This bike was a blast to ride as it has a lot of low RPM torque and can really scream in the higher revs. Another great bonus was it's a lot lighter than most sport-tour bikes and got me 56...
