Agreed, not only ride within your own limits, but respect the road conditions. (there's still a lot of sand out there). There will always be faster/better riders than myself, but as long as I ride, I keep within my own safety zone. Don't be afraid to bail when the pace becomes hectic.

Generally the mopeds are dirt cheap on gas/oil. Keep in mind when your buzzing the motor at full throttle (especially all day) you might blow it up. One thing to consider will it keep up in traffic? Hugging the shoulder sucks. As a high school kid, I got a caddy moped in 1979 - rode it for...

When I was at Port Dover last year some guy on his Harley bent his forks when he forgot to remove his disc lock... so be extra careful if you are going this route... I would suggest rain gear and mesh jacket for the summer.

My finger tips were freezing off last fall. So I got a pair of snowmobile gloves from Royal...very toasty. :D Shure you don't have the same feel as gloves but now my hands can take the cold.
