    Sanitizing History???

There was a shift in ideology with the democrats and republicans swapping views. This is the sort of history you can learn from a book, not a flag or a statue

The way the board has been headed politics have become verboten in romper room. This thread has escaped the divisiveness of politics because it hasn't had much in the way of political posts and from one persons view a political post may be an attack on values

Thinking of a new used ADV style bike, what are your thoughts?

Everyone I know with a BMW 1200GS has had final drive issues. Mixed bag of electrical issues for people I know with BMWs, plus the services are expensive. My short list would be in no particular order. vstrom 1000 (2nd gen) vstrom 650 (2nd gen) super tenere honda african twin honda vfr1200x...

    Request: Best Rain Gear

While Klim and Aerostitch are nice products I'm a proponent of leather. Nothing protects as well. While it sucks for the moments you have to wear rain gear because of an extra layer, I'll not give up on leather. Probably going to see if sport check has anything because they're local and I'm...

    Sanitizing History???

the pyramids weren't a tribute to slavery. the confederate statues were erected to let the darkies know that whitey was still in charge. Most statues were erected around the early 1920s and 1960s

That is what round up is for.. actually I find the weed whacker does a good job though I wonder how laying down a weed prevention tarp under the stones would work.

    This and That

we had a rotting deck, rather than replace it with another deck that would have to be replaced again we bought some patio stones, saved a couple dollars on insurance (not much, but it's since paid for the stones). I'm not worried about some one falling off the deck (no rails)

    Sanitizing History???

Statues are a tribute to those that wished todo evil on others, monuments and memorials are remembrance to the victims.

    Sanitizing History???

A war memorial is not a tribute to the ilk that fought to enslave or exterminate others, that is the difference.

    Sanitizing History???

The statues are tributes, do we want to pay tribute to those that fought to keep men enslaved? To many the confederate flag is akin to the nazi flag. While distasteful here the nazi flag is outright banned overseas.
