Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

You know.... I mean for $500 No way that can be safetied, let alone insured. But for off road use like if you had property you could mess around on, looks like cheap fun

Anyone buy a bike from Calgary ??

Can you pull a title history from their ministry online? Like you would do a UVIP here? That's step one. I still say it has to be worth driving there. Say you go to the expense of going out there and it's a dud, you walk away and you're only out travel. But if you buy it remotely and ship...

Importing a Motor Vehicle To Canada (the be all end all)

Update: I've been falling down the RIV rabbit hole. Vehicles that are certified for sale in the US, are admissible here. There are also manufacturer specific lists, for each type of vehicle. For Honda motorcycles, it just says ALL U.S. models. I also looked at GM, because they have one...

Anyone buy a bike from Calgary ??

Is it a good enough deal to justify driving there? Shipping would probably be comparable to your fuel and trailer rental,if not more.

    Social distancing with a passenger?

I think it's time we start talking about who's going to headline Covidfest. We can't get ACDC for this one, probably not the stones either. Hopefully Iron Maiden?

Importing a Motor Vehicle To Canada (the be all end all)

I am aware of that legislation, it's why you can bring an R34 here and not the US(atleast for the next few years.). I'm wondering if there are other exceptional circumstances. For example if a car is so rare that it wouldn't be practical. Like say Koenigsegg, they made so few(only 25) of the...

Anyone buy a bike from Calgary ??

Is it so super rare that it can't be found in Ontario? Are you confident in the title history enough to be satisfied that it has never been branded(salvage/rebuilt bikes are not allowed to be plated in Ontario)? It's high enough risk to buy a bike you haven't seen, add shipping and transfer...

    Motorcycle Camping Tents

It's not black, is it? atleast it's not fully semi automatic.

    Social distancing with a passenger?

Yeah, bylaws can be enacted alot quicker, practically write it on a napkin and have a quick council vote. That's why they're usually pretty stupid. They still would infringe on rights. Closing properties and issuing trespass fines is no fuss no muss. Easy money without the court tossing the...

    Social distancing with a passenger?

Pretty sure there aren't any laws here. There can't be, the process for making a law is far too long. There are guidelines, pleas to the public, maybe the odd haphazard, half-assed, heat of the moment quick cash making bylaw here and there. But they would all fall flat on their face in court...

Expired M1 can one still ride?

For all land vehicles though, the test is supervised closed book. Which is pretty solid proof that safety has absolutely dick all to do with the pleasure craft operators card. Just another cash grab, something they could sell to private parties to administer. Transport Canada even says on...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

If anybody sees any crazy deals for any kick-start harley, could you please shoot me a PM? 2 seasons ago I was seeing all kinds of Iron heads on kijiji between 1-3k, and I bought the R6 instead. Made a profit on the R6 and started looking for irons again and I haven't seen anything priced...

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

"no time to deal with it" he says in regards to making it a streetfighter, but says hes willing to accept project trades.... Wondering if he bought a salvage bike before he found out it can never be plated in ontario, and now he's hoping to unload it to someone else.

Housing during SARS-CoV-2 lockdown, before, during and after - Renting vs Owning

Maybe they need to learn how to launder money lol. Use the "In Honor of..." money to sponsor fundraiser events in honour of that person. Thus turning "in Honour Of..." money, into general church "we did a thing" money.

Advise on buying a new bike

If you can afford it, just do it. It's not just a smell, it's not just the experience of the first ride(purchaser never gets the first ride anyway). Knowing the exact history of the bike. Knowing 100% for a fact, that it has never been down, never been abused, doesn't have police looking for...

Housing during SARS-CoV-2 lockdown, before, during and after - Renting vs Owning

Alot of own vs. rent talk. What about the people who for some unknown reason, willingly make the decision to do both? I just don't understand it. What possesses a person, to spend hundreds of thousands(maybe over a million depending on location) to "buy" what basically amounts to an...

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Biggest kicker for me is the lack of ownership. Other things can easily be overcome. I'd rather tear down the motor and rebuild it than have to mess around with paperwork issues.

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

That's a really nice bike, but what is with the trend of people on kijiji not understanding how to camera? And when making the listing, you see that the orientation of the photos is messed up, why wouldn't they go and rotate them before uploading? always irritating.

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

The 550lb phantom(same bike trimmed differently) was my second bike, but I only had the first one for just over a month before picking up the phantom, so it might as well have been my first. I've never had an issue with the weight or carving with it. My first summer saw the bolts on the end of...
