It's well before due. I think there's only 12k km on it. Suppose it wouldn't hurt though. Wish I had a garage to pull it apart over the winter. Maybe I'll ask the guy that worked on my CBX if he wants something else to play with over the winter. I was going to get him to replace the fork oil...
I didn't even know vacuum petcocks had a reserve. How does that normally work?
Mine is just on when there is vacuum (no reserve). Although it seems to be screwy because it developed a leak where the fuel line connects once and would only leak when the vacuum line was connected even though the...
My RS125 has been like this for a couple years now. Did it when I had Rotella T6 in the transmission and with Motul Gear 300. Played with the adjustments like crazy. Eventually just gave up short of taking the clutch out. I did buy replacement parts though.
Mine never gets impossible though...
My most recent purchase is 4 years older than me, lol. But I think I might be crazy as I hit... um... very fast speeds on the ride back before it was safetied and then found out the front wheel was barely bolted on. [emoji2357]
Just in case anyone else finds this thread: I contacted him and he told me in May he got in a bad accident and will not be doing tires any further.
Alternative suggestions welcome.
Personally I think the Versys 300 would be a good blend of small size and weight while still having enough power for some highway use.
Never ridden one though but I'm not very picky so I'd probably like it. I think Fort Nine gave it a decent review but preferred the CRF250 if you're doing...
I'm interested in Vanson but I find full leather to be VERY hot. Even in our current temps. Perforated is quite a bit better so I'd be interested in that but almost none of their stuff is perforated and they charge an extra $200 USD on top of the already outrageous price of their stuff for...
The Shark I posted is certified in the jet configuration as far as I'm aware. I still avoid it because there are lots of chin impacts in an off and that wouldn't be covered regardless of certification.
Both waxed cotton and jeans will disintegrate at almost any speed. My jeans (and skin) ripped right through at about 40 kph. Heck, I've ripped jeans just from tripping and falling at walking speed.
I hit 90 without even getting on the highway. 140 if I do. I need leather or good textile. Then...
Well the article I’m referring to the guy’s friend literally walked through a river in his non-Goretex shoes while the Goretex wearer didn’t and the Goretex wearer also took off his shoes and socks when they had breaks to dry out the sweat. At the end of the day the non-Goretex shoes had dried...
Aw man. I've wanted one of these since I found out about them but already have two bikes. No more room. Maybe if it were cheap but I'm not thinking that's gonna happen.
Personally I don't like Goretex. It doesn't ever breathe as well as it's supposed to. Not that the competition is any different. Especially in footwear. If I wear Goretex (or equivalent) footwear my feet will be soaked within a few hours. Seems to be a common complaint. In hiking, several...
For helmets I've been using this:
Shark Evoline 3 ST Hakka Helmet
Lots of good features (including built in sun visor). Whole front flips up if I need to talk to someone, get more air, scratch my face, get a drink, etc. Makes it so I don't have to take off my helmet if I stop to grab a few...
Lol I do OWN a one piece leather suit with a hump from one of the suit group buys like 5 years ago (Leather Links or something?). Unfortunately they ignored my customization request to have it made without the hump (as well as with extra perforation panels) and the guy in Hamilton I went to for...
