@Mad Mike does regular malls have these, like from eddie bauer, etc? Can't seem to find who uses that tech
@regder oh I see, thanks! I'm an idiot when it comes to searching ?♂️
Would a simple heated vest be enough, my research shows that heated jackets only heat the front and back, not arms. Unless I'm missing something here lol
I'm tempted with the heated gears but it's just a short commute to work, approx 20mins, so I don't want to deal with charging it here and there. But I do ride during winter as long as it's above -10 before windchill. I survived with leather jacket and the 2 layers from an old Olympia 3in1. It's...
Hello, first off I'm sorry for posting here but it seems the apparel section doesn't get much attention..
I'm looking to get a mid layer jacket under my armored leather, for a bit more warmth during the night rides. I'm debating between a soft shell fleece lined, whether it be Columbia...
@JFD it clamps ok, just cause some minor scratching during installation. No vibration sounds. I'll leave it for now then, cheap exhaust anyways to toy with for now lol. Thanks all.
@Trials I'm not sure if it's for grip purposes or just there as protection tbh..
@Mad Mike ya just the inner black band is missing from the bracket. As mentioned above im not 100% sure if it's for gripping or just for protection.
Sorry for this dumb question.. But hope someone can help.
Bought an exhaust that has a bracket to mount to passenger pegs. It doesn't have any rubber (silicone?) protecting the bracket from scratching the exhaust. What are some options? I searched Amazon and stuff and it's 2+ weeks til...
I started on a 300 and had a few close calls where I skidded and fish tailed but didn't rear end the car in front. I think if you ride smart you won't really need it, but definitely nice to have it for those close calls.
Yup.. After everyone's response I figured it's such a personal thing. I think I'll go with custom and get a better understanding. Half the price of name brands too, so it's worth the risk. Thanks all. ?
Seems the custom makes most sense, would love another motorcyclist measuring my ***. Joking aside, definitely less headache with returns if any discomfort, shipping costs etc.. Thanks everyone!
With a big price tag, before I pull the trigger I would like to ask for feedback if you've tried multiple seats.. Corbin, saddlemen, Sargent..? Definitely going the foam route. Also found a nice guy that does custom using existing seat and adding wheelchair foam. Please and thank you!
@CriticalCore I also got a chance to hop on @MacDoc cb and then pulled the trigger on it. I don't look back at all on that decision. Cheaper insurance and fuel than the strom and versys, much lighter (the other two felt so top heavy for city commute), and honestly plenty of power to have fun...
I just went from a ninja 300 to a cb500x (I'm 200, 6'2). I'm under 30 and have only been insured for 2 years. Paying $100 a month atm. My understanding is after 3 years of coverage and 30 is when prices drop for bigger bikes (500+ cc). I think there's really only 2 options for minor off roading...
I'm just saying.. If there are riders that have loud pipes and do stupid stuff they'll just deal with the law. Anyone that has stock or non stupidly loud pipes shouldnt even be concerned.
Sure, but what I mean in terms of fair game is.. Break the law and deal with the consequence if you get...
Bikers complain about idiotic drivers that text and drive. Drivers complain about stupid bikers that rev for no goddamn reason and make noise at 1am near condos. Fair game now. We live in a place that's do as you wish, and deal the risks and consequences after...
I recently got a cb500x and it's plenty of power to overtake highway speeds, cheap on gas and insurance. For a younger guy like myself it's the perfect package. If I could afford it, I'd go sv though!
I hope they add those pylons over the double solid whites. I often see cars cutting in and out using it as a passing lane.. Wish I was on the bike to smash some mirrors once they slow down ?
I would just do it since it doesn't really take that long.. Regardless of my 'rights'.. Better comply and get out than sit there arguing and wasting time. We're all adults I assume.. Why argue over something so small? Stop going to that gas station if you don't like it, or simply prepay at pump.
