I got mine on sale as well. I also do not leave my raised for extended periods of time. My locking bar isn't bent but I do not like the idea of my bike being so far off the ground for extended periods of time. The foot pump works really well and raised the bike quickly and easily.

I have the 1000lb one as well. My bike weighs 800lbs. great lift. Only modification was I drilled holes in the tray so I could put tie-down straps on it.
