    COVID and the housing market

Lost another bidding war yesterday. It went 260k over listed, 160k over my offer. Tonight seems like another one lost. Put in 170k over the listed (my max) but there are 13 more offers. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk

    COVID and the housing market

Saw 6 listings this weekend. 3 we really like that we could see ourselves living in it. Funnily, 2 of them had bikes and gears. Anyone here selling a house in Oakville? Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk

    COVID and the housing market

On the topic of letter along with the offer, is that part of the offer package or do you drop it off at the house? I've seen that little note at the listing from the selling agent that they're only gonna present top # (3, 4 etc) offers. I have access to this info because my mom's my buying...

    COVID and the housing market

220k left on our current mortgage, bought the house for 410k in 2015. We can probably sell it minimum 750k now. No other debt. We could only get 950k pre-approval through a broker. Houses around 1.2mil don't even feel like much upgrade so were looking at 1.5mil (listed). When those are being...

    COVID and the housing market

There should really be open bidding at least. One sellers agent contacted us saying I need to increase my offer (also without conditions) before actually presenting to sellers. But how the **** am I supposed to know what price will actually get me the house without increasing significantly and...

    COVID and the housing market

Yup. Been looking at detached around Burlington and Oakville. So far we've seen probably 30 or so houses and put in 4 offers on houses we really liked. Looking around 1.3mil to 1.5mil range. All been outbid, ranging from 100k to 250k. One house we were hoping to see sold over 300k asking...

Would you work for the evil empire? (Facebook)

Since this is a motorcycle forum, yes, if it's at SF location. Great riding roads. Definitely recommend. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk

    Car Recommendation for My Daughter

Too bad she doesn't like manual. My 2013 focus hatchback in 5mt has been reliable. Only consumables and no issues whatsoever (except for setting rattles) Been in 2 accidents though, me at 0% fault.

    Bar muffs

I bought cheap ones from AliExpress for like 10 bucks just to try them out. There are tons. They do keep your hands warm and you need to make sure wind doesn't push them in to levers. So it helps to have Handguards over or, the frame inside. Bonus warmth if you have heated grips. Having said...

    2006 sv650s suspension upgrade

On my gladius (better sv650), I did stiffer front springs and heavier weight oil. Then for rear, swapped to gsxr600 shock. They eliminated pogostick behaviour and I didn't spend that much (probably 200 bucks in parts) doing labour myself.

    Anyone here a cyclist?

Thanks for inputs. Ended up buying a used chariot cougar 2 in good condition for 300. Seemed expensive but it appears to be the going rate. It's bigger than what I expected so having second thoughts though.

    Anyone here a cyclist?

Does anyone have experience with one of those child trailers that attaches to the back? I've been using front carrier but my daughter is close to outgrowing it. I'm thinking of getting a 2 seater so I can also bring my old dog on rides. Mostly pavement and very light gravel. Initially ordered...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Damn, I missed Q7 for some reason. Probably being distracted by my toddler. That's too bad. I was hoping for some good leeway. But then again, lots of people know more than me about these things. Sorry if I gave false hopes to anyone.

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

I'm sure everyone here knows better than me and has had experience in the past, but I read this. http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/vehicles/vehicle-branding-program-faq.shtml#:~:text=Imported%20vehicles%20with%20a%20%22Rebuilt,as%20%22Rebuilt%22%20in%20Ontario. Is this smart/safe/legal?

I've seen other bike models do swaps like that, mainly for cosmetics. For mt10, I did quick google and see this. https://fz10.org/thread/2315/r1-tail-swap?page=2 So yeah, I wouldn't necessarily call it stupid. I like it, too be honest. But there was nothing wrong with mt10 tail also.

    ktm 2020 duke 200

So ktm 390 duke with smaller engine to compete with grom pricing? I'd like it better if it was grom sized tbh.

Carrying a laptop on a bike

Useful when it came out especially since it came out with MS office apps that I used at the time. It actually has surprisingly good build quality and I liked the keyboard accessory that I bought along with it. Last time I used it was for Netflix 3 yrs ago when I had to go on a business trip...
