    How about that

I was in a hospital just before Covid to see a relative who was dying. It was a freaking war zone. There were no beds, people on cots in the hallway, not enough nurses and support staff, the ones that were there were burnt out, and the doctors were all trying to send dying people home to keep...

    How about that

If we have an overtaxed medical system don't blame Covid 19. It has always been like that - held together with band-aids and barely able to keep up because of underfunding. They'll try and tell everyone it's because of the 12% of people who aren't vaccinated, but don't you believe it...

    How about that

You don't get freedom without risks. Those who would give up their freedom for a little bit of security do not deserve to be free. Go live in China.

If I was vaccinated against ebola, yes.

    How about that

Having a society where people make their own decisions and take risks is not disingenuous. I'm not here to get points either. My feeling is that the correct choice is to get vaccinated, but it's also that those who don't aren't a risk to anyone but themselves. I'm not interested in living in...

    How about that

I see them every day. Talk to them every day. I'm vaccinated so I shouldn't have a problem right? I mean, the vaccine does work doesn't it?

    How about that

Three people at work won't get vaxxed. I'm fully vaxxed, but I support those who choose not to. This is a free society and if the vaccines work we wouldn't be worried about the unvaccinated. But they don't. They're just a treatment. There will be new strains of this virus coming every year...

    CBC

All the comments are liberals in disbelief, attacking the source as right wing. Of course, if you're that far left that you watch CBC, everything looks right wing.

    The next doomsday

Someone saw "Don't Look Up" on Netflix. End of the world threads. Must be January.

    Days are getting longer

Let's add some cold reality to this discussion shall we? 15x7=105 days of bloody miserable weather. After that it's riding season.

No charges warranted in fatal motorcycle crash involving Toronto police cruiser: SIU

The left hand turn in front of oncoming traffic is the oldest motorcycle accident in the book. The acronym is SMIDSY (sorry mate I didn't see you). It's well documented in the Hurt Report on motorcycle fatalities. In a property only accident I could see a couple of tickets handed out and the...

    Learning to relax

I think the best way to relax and take your time is to do it open-ended. Quit your job and just go meander without a real destination. If you're up against a time limit to fill 3 weeks of vacation you tend to want to jam as much in as possible, missing the little things.

    Clutch Failed Right After Warranty

After giving these guys four chances to fix the problem, why would you trust them to do it again?

    Speaking of China...

Harley's only vibrate through the pegs. That's why we all walk funny. My MTD lasted for 20 years. Would have lasted longer but I threw a rod pushing through 4 ft high wet snow plough bank at the end of the driveway. Could have fixed it but the Briggs was 10hp for $600 on Amazon with...

No charges warranted in fatal motorcycle crash involving Toronto police cruiser: SIU

How do they know the motorcycle ran a red? Seems to me if the bike ran the red, so did the cop. Camera footage? Sounds like BS. If the motorcyclist was at fault, that doesn't absolve the officer of breaking the law with a prohibited left. Sounds like negligence. Really getting sick of the SIU...

    Speaking of China...

I'll give you and example. My Briggs and Stratton snowblower works quite well, but every year I have to clean out the carb because it lacks a filter and debris gets into the carb. That could be a U.S. design thing, or it could be an incorrectly executed design by the Chinese. My old Tecumseh...

    Speaking of China...

The white finger was meant as a humorous exaggeration. To be truthful the problem with Chinese stuff I have owned has not been assembly, but design and component quality related. Low-grade steel, improperly thought-out design, and a serious lack of product support. If you look at the Japanese...

    The knife thread

So there was a previous ruling on A/O knives where the court ruled they are not weapons. I can't find the direct link to the case but here's an article: https://www.akti.org/news/canadian-judge-rules-assisted-opening-knives-not-weapons/ After this the knives were legal to sell and own. Then...
