    BMW K75. Worth it?

Showa is more desirable than the earlier Brembo or F&S. The compression / rebound dampening and progressive springs the big differences. Really, you probably couldn't tell the difference between any of the forks based on ride quality and handling. It's after all an eighties bike with eighties...

    BMW K75. Worth it?

Well, that's something to consider as well. Both are very close; I'm just showing my personal bias for later model K-bikes. Find out why it's his favourite. It looks like the black one has a higher windshield meaning less buffeting. the RS fairing does give more helmet buffeting and wind...

    BMW K75. Worth it?

The black one has snowflake rims and the blue has three spoke. There are more tire options with 3-spoke than snowflake, especially radials. That might be a factor to consider. Another thing to consider is that the forks on the blue one are Showa if the bike is a 91 or later and the black one...

    BMW K75. Worth it?

The engines on both of those bikes are barely broken in with those kilometres. These engines have Nikasil coated cylinders; they are rugged. These motorcycles can easily go 800,000 - 1 million kilometres or more. Total kilometres not a good reason to choose one over the other. Besides, the...

    BMW K75. Worth it?

The blue K75RS. It's late model and possibly less likely to have spline wear than the early K75. Also, it has better forks, newer electronics, more likely an original instrument cluster, and just an all round better model K-bike.

    BMW K75. Worth it?

Spot on Mike. OP, don't shy away from a good deal on these bikes. They are easy to work on and very well engineered, over-engineered in fact. The K-bike has more in common with an automobile than a motorcycle - Bosch fuel injection, electronic ignition, water cooled engine, counter-balance...

    BMW K75. Worth it?

The K75 is a great bike, reliable like an appliance. That's what these bikes are called Bricks. The blue is (maybe) 1990 standard K75RS. The black is (maybe) an earlier 1986 or 1987 K75T with a Corbin seat and Wulf fairing. Those are perfect the way they are and should be preserved. These are...

WiFi help for an older PC...

Your wireless might be using a popular channel which is occupied by neighbouring wireless routers in your area. This situation is very likely because most ISP routers are shipped with the same configuration and most techs/users don't mess with them. Channel congestion will cause degraded...

    Garage floor replacement

+1 on the racedeck or equivalent. I installed the Costco product on my garage floor and haven't ever regretted that decision. It went right over the old garage floor, divots and all, no problems. Its warmer than bare concrete in the winter (working on a motorcycle with no lift sometimes), can...

Thinking about getting a Motorcyle lift from CT or PA

I had one of these lifts, the CT one. It really depends on the configuration of your bike as to how useful it will be. you'll have to find out whether the engine is flat enough to provide the base that can be supported by the jack. That base has to be at the centre of gravity of the bike so...

    Matress Recommendations

I don't know how to qualify the firmness but it is neither hard and rigid nor is it soft and compliant. It's firm. It supports your whole body and conforms to your natural curves without creating hot spots or pressure points. It's just very good all round. I hope that helps.

    Matress Recommendations

We bought a Endy mattress a couple years ago. Love it. Very comfortable with uniform support and not hot in the summer as with other foam mattresses.

I got this text below from a BBC News article about the upcoming CES 2020 show in Las Vegas Scooter giant Segway Ninebot will demo a self-balancing, self-driving two-wheeler that can be summoned via an app. It will also seek feedback to the Apex - its first motorcycle, which it has yet to...

Why drivers see, then forget motorcycles

I like the suggestion at the end of the article, to say "bike" if you see a bike. More drivers should take that advice.
