    Questions To Harley Riders

I know it is a Harley bashing thread, but why not ... Looking at 2009, closest comparable honda I could find to compare against HD XR1200 was the VTX1300C XR1200 CAN MSRP $13100 - current average Canada wide current sale price $8500 = $4600 cost of ownership over 10 years VTX1300C CAN MSRP...

    Questions To Harley Riders

Interesting thread. The HD48 has such a small tank because that is the fuel tank size from 1948, not the new normal.

CBR125 Service Manual - What is CM Type?

Not sure CA stands for Canadian market. Had never heard of a Honda CA until this morning. Honda did make a CA125 and CA 250, they were the Honda Rebel's and were launched in the UK, not Canada. Only know that because I did a little research on Honda Rebel's as a friend is bringing one over...

What Are You Currently Listening To?

Ok probably not similar, but this is what came to mind when listening to your post. Not sure if it is the music, or the mutant 7 string guitars. Anyway, rock on....

    Spotify long haul playlists

(NOTE *** posting your playlist will likely expose your real name, if that is a problem, you may want to pass). I love to look over other peoples Spotify playlists to find those loved but forgotten tunes. No idea if there is any interest, but I will start with mine. I do a yearly London to...

    Cleaning engine bay

Spray down with S100 Total Cycle Cleaner, let it sit for 5 minutes, hose off with garden hose sprayer, blow dry, done in 15 minutes. That worked for years then I got lazy and did a summer of using the smallest size Simonize pressure washer for a summer and blow dry. That summer I ended up having...

    Hi!

I remember when I got my first street bike 35 years ago. Thought that would be the most exciting motorcycle event in my life. I was wrong. After each long winter, every spring the first ride is just as exciting. Life is good with a bike in the garage! Happy birthday and welcome.

You might get away with your mesh jacket only and throw on a rainsuit over that, when you need warmth. I use a perforated leather jacket on my bike camping trip to Alberta every July and manage cold mornings north of Superior with rain suit jacket on top.

    GPS Died replacement recommendations

I have the TomTom Rider 550 and happy with it. Had two models prior, the 400 is one to stay clear of, rest seem fine. The 400 had crazy issues that were well documented on internet.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

All good then. I only commented as he directed me to read this thread, I started, but no way can I find time to go through 177 pages. Now that I know he is an electric owner already, he obviously knows the winter drawbacks and can live with that, all good.

I like to share my knowledge. Re Tyres.

Sum good advize here. Could also put dynabeads in rear tyre. Spitz em out like beebee's through breathing hole to convince carz not to follow two close.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I realize you are very excited about electric vehicles, but have you talked to current owners about the difference between summer and winter range? I asked a workmate/friend about range of her new Volt in the middle of this last winter and she was telling me the way she drives it she gets about...

Fuel prices on the west coast

Fuel efficient cars don't seem to be the future, as car companies are in the process of ditching their car offerings in North America, in favour of SUV's and trucks. The push for electric vehicles also worries me. If that came to be the norm, the strain on electric capacity would create a need...

    Ethanol-free fuels

Would be nice if that website also listed spots with dedicated premium pumps. Then you get only ethanol free premium instead of a hose full of ethanol regular to start. The Komoka Shell has a dedicated pump and is not even listed there under Komoka ethanol free. One in North end of Woodstock as...
