    Food prices

i Haven’t seen chicken in the stores down here for over a week, but prices had increased by well over 50% in the last three months. Shelves are bare and in some stores there have been physical fights over what’s left on the shelves. who would have thought that you would ever see this in the...

17x150/60 race tire for small displacement race bike

He did. I can’t remember what frame He used though. The Mito rolling chassis is also a nice upgrade.

17x150/60 race tire for small displacement race bike

What you really need is something like this. It would need a cradle built to take the RZ motor but its really, really stiff and light.

17x150/60 race tire for small displacement race bike

It has a little bit of bracing on the steering head but that deltabox frame on the FZR is really good. I have friend who races a 400 frame with a FZR600 engine in the VRRA and he said the frame is 100% better than even the 600 frame. Its also a bit peaky so you really need to keep it between 7...

17x150/60 race tire for small displacement race bike

I have photos somewhere of the cylinders. I’ll post them. It was done by Glyn at GPL in Nova Scotia. He was really good but his marine business took off and I guess there is much more money in that than in two strokes. It also has a set of Brian Turfrey pipes as well and being 390cc which...

17x150/60 race tire for small displacement race bike

Thanks Bakaboy. Unfortunately the class rules specify DOT's :( If I were closer I would take your up on your offer to get me over the hump but I'm stuck down here in the US and it would probably take a small fortune to ship. I could try a 140 Pirelli as the load rating is not much...

17x150/60 race tire for small displacement race bike

A quick question for smaller displacement racers. I used to run a 150/60 Pirelli Supercorsa on the back of my RZ 350 endurance bike but they stopped importing them into North America. I emailed Pirelli and they said it wasn’t worthwhile as they didn’t sell a lot. That’s fair enough. I can see...

    Ontario in the news !!!

Its a hard situation. I think the local politicians and healthcare workers on the front lines were dammed if they did, and dammed if they didn't

    Ontario in the news !!!

Not as bad a us. We're around 60% at the moment and started 6 months before Canada. There are more of the general public vaxed than essential workers and teachers :(

    Ontario in the news !!!

I was just watching one of the local NBC Affiliates here and they were talking about areas that were doing well managing the COVID outbreak. They actually mentioned Ontario as doing really well with cases steadily trending down from 5000 new cases/day in the summer to 500 now, and over 80% of...

    Truth And Reconciliation

<rant> IMHO, Its just lip service by the government to make middle class white voters feel better about themselves. People can have as much dialog as they want but the fact remains that a large % of First Nations who have been forced off their land live in poverty and third world conditions...

    Bike Porn....

These are a couple of my favourite builds at the moment. Its disheartening in a way as you think you can do a decent job until you see some of these. I've always preferred the white and red in this paint job but the black is growing on me. This is a LC but its very subtle as you have to do a...

    Bike Porn....

No, they changed the swing arm and footrests after 85 :( although they are interchangeable. Swingarms are easy to get as a lot of people have swapped theirs out. Unfortunately the 86 tank is also different and it won't mount on the 83-85 frame without a lot of work and the older style seat...

    Bike Porn....

$11k is a little rich for my blood but good luck with the sale to the OP. That's actually an RN. Yamaha had a suffix to identify the country for compliance with the local laws. For an 85 in Canada was a RZ350RN, Australia was a RZ350R, the US was a RZ350NC/NC2, Europe was N or F depending on...

    Bike Porn....

Its great when the UPS man shows up bearing gifts. He just dropped this off today. Its a custom arm for a RGV250 wheel that's going into a RD400 frame with a monoshock conversion. Had to wait about 5 months on it because of the eccentrics but I think it was worth it. I can get on with welding...

    Turn signals required for safety?

That's the problem. I'm in San Francisco. The bike is in Pickering. I can't reach....my arms are not that long... LOL The gent also won the VRRA championships for his classes on bikes he built so I think he can connect up a few wires.

    Turn signals required for safety?

That’s what I was thinking but he lives in North Bay. Still it may be worth the drive

    Turn signals required for safety?

Thanks all. I have a a reasonable looking set I got in a big container of parts that he can have with the bike. The original wiring is tucked into the headlight shell and tiewrapped under the taillight bracket so it should be straight forward to get them working. looks much better without them...

    Turn signals required for safety?

I’m selling a 1976 TS250 thats been sitting in my Brothers garage for some time. It’s in great original condition but when I rode it, it didn’t have any turn signals, just the front and rear light. I used hand signals. I believed I safetyed it this way But that must have been 20 years ago The...
