Lots of racing for dirt bikes. AMA supercross probably 2nd to MotoGP in terms of viewership across all two wheel racing. MXGP, AMA MX, EnduroGP, GNCC series, Rally races you mentioned and then a bunch of smaller series as well. All have a extremely loyal fanbase that spends money on bikes.
I was pretty surprised when I saw this as well. I see room in the dual sport market for them but I think MX and XC type models will be a bit of a uphill battle.
Will Desjardins actually right a new policy on 150cc or less though? I'm under the impression your grandfathered policy/bikes are good to go but replacements or additions aren't accepted.
Let us know how you make out.
I want my feet somewhat under me or behind. You just lose so much control of the motorcycle with your feet way out front. Not my thing at all.
I’m also 5’8” with short legs so that doesn’t help lol.
I really like it. 120hp, 95 ft/lbs torque and 500 lbs will make for a pretty fun bike to rip around town and I think it looks good. I'm not a fan of forward controls but one of the pics on the website shows mids so it's nice to know that will be a option as a accessory.
I agree with pretty well everything said in the original post.
I do have one question though. I haven't been on or in the Muskoka river in probably 15 years, does it not have a pretty strong current? I can see someone getting into trouble relatively quickly if my memory is right and it does. A...
We have a co-habitation agreement for that. If we split we are supposed to get back whatever our initial contribution to the house was, anything after that is 50/50.
I’m not completely confident in it but I would rather have it then not.
I would be lying if I said I have personally used the baja no pinch tool on ADV or other street tires. I have seen a number of people on FB claiming to have used it on their Tenere 700 tires. It makes it almost too easy on dirt bike tires...I'm pretty confident it will work on most ADV type tires.
I agree. The sizing on tubes is a bit of a mess and I would prefer if it was more consistent across the board.
Personally I would run a standard or HD tube. The Ultra HD tubes start getting pretty thick and heavy. I try to stick with name brands but have a no name china made standard tube in...
I wish! Your bike is way too nice for me to pick up and play around in the backyard. I would be looking for something a bit older. Hope it sells quick for you though, very cool bike!
I would go with what Suzuki says.
When I had supermoto’s I always ran them in the mid 20’s. Tough to build heat in super sport tires on under 300lb 40hp bikes. Figured the lower pressure would help.
I’m typically on my dirt bike 2-4 times a week. Need to pick up a trials bike at some point so I can play around at home.
Pull the street bike out when I’m not feeling lazy. Usually once a week or so.
I don’t love Fortnine these days but I would have a tough time blaming them here. A local dealer wouldn’t let you returned a used helmet either. Always figured once I pull the protective cover off the shield it’s my helmet.
Pretty common on the Touring Harley’s. Usually you can leave the shaft and just replace the shifter and bolt. I think you have some decent mileage on that bike so maybe the shaft too.
In a pinch I’ve seen online where guys will cut a little piece of pop can to slide in between the shaft and...
I remember it as homes above $1,000,000 were impacted quite a bit and took a while to recover. Somewhat close to two years. At that time condos went on a tear and saw big gains from 2017 until Jan-Feb 2020. It was the foreign buyers tax and also the stress test on uninsured mortgages coming on...
I believe the first one you mention is Phelpston tract. I haven't been there yet but I believe it is mostly single track.
I live about 15 minutes away. If your looking for someone to join you sometime send me a message.
Motorcycle happy place is 100% somewhere in the dirt. MX track, single track, double track whatever doesn't matter as long as it's dirt I'm having a good time.
@mimico_polak what forest tract did you head into? I just started riding in the Simcoe county forest this year so don't know it well...
@Priller it’s actually $10,800 in Canada. $9000 in the U.S. I think the Aprilia is a little over $13,000 here.
The Yamaha is great bang for the buck. Could use a bit more motor though.
