Many early proponents of universal healthcare were also strong proponents of eugenics, and that a universal healthcare system could be used as a means to carry out eugenics programs. Eugenics in general was actually a popular belief in the 30s until the Nazis ran wild with it during WW2. After...

    Sleepy Joe

She's probably the most unlikable female politician after Hillary Clinton. She fought to uphold wrongful convictions that were won with tampered evidence, and also laughed about it. She likely slept her way into many patronage appointments early in her career thanks to her at the time boyfriend...

    Sleepy Joe

I thought so as well, but then Harris actually got into government and they realized she is totally useless and unwanted by the general public. Putting her in the driver's seat would probably guarantee a Republican victory in 2024. So for now we get sleepy Joe...

Double Vaxxed Covid Spreaders . . . Stay home you filthy animals

Depends on the seriousness of their injuries. I'm not sure what you're getting at though -- our hospitals are nowhere near capacity and we have very strong vaccine numbers. Suggesting a lockdown at this point in time is absurd -- especially when it's clear that the vast majority of the...

Double Vaxxed Covid Spreaders . . . Stay home you filthy animals

Sure it can. ICU triage is largely based on chance of survival -- an 80 year old otherwise healthy person will get the ICU bed over their unvaccinated counter-part, if push comes to shove.

Double Vaxxed Covid Spreaders . . . Stay home you filthy animals

No thanks. If the unvaccinated want to roll the dice, let them. If ICUs get full they'll be triaged behind those who chose to get vaccinated. Life moves on.

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2021 Edition)

They definitely are, I saw a deer at the edge of the road last night near Courtneypark Dr. and Dixie. It probably wandered out of the nature area around the airport, and was big enough to ruin a biker's day.

    Gas Prices ...

The irony of course is that the cost of producing batteries for such electric cars is pretty horrendous: Apple, Google, Microsoft, Tesla and Dell sued over child-mined cobalt from Africa Not to mention, the electricity has to come from somewhere also.

    Food prices

Restaurant prices are up around 30% based on my anecdata. I think it will get worse as staff shortages and supply chain costs ramp up. On the groceries side, produce and dairy/poultry seems stable. Red meat is going through the roof, as is anything processed.

Good deal on a Chrysler 300?

I knew someone who worked at the Chrysler plant in Brampton pre-2008 as a floor sweeper/janitor. According to them the job was dubbed "hide and seek for a thousand a week", because you could basically disappear and do nothing as long as no one caught you (even then the consequences were tame)...

    Drivetest Current State/ Covid booking

Does anyone know if this affects upgrading your license? I recently passed my M2X course but need to go to Drivetest to upgrade my license. Are there separate lines for tests, or is it one giant line for everything?

    Obesity

European food is regulated much more strongly than here. For example a lot of the high fructose syrups present in our food is straight up banned in the EU. Their portion sizes are also a lot smaller for pretty much everything across the board. On the energy side of things, people in Europe are...

Here we go. Amendment to Stunt Driving

Nope. I am not proposing you mouth off to a cop because it's not going to end well for you. But a judge will definitely care.

Here we go. Amendment to Stunt Driving

Yes, but you do not need a license to operate a vehicle on private land. You cannot be compelled to produce something you do not legally need.

True, but there is no requirement to even have a license if you aren't operating your vehicle on a highway (public road): Law Document English View
