Rode to work today in 12 degree weather. Added a scarf and finger mitts to my existing gear and didn’t get cold at all
Did notice the wind though....got tossed around pretty good on the highway
My next helmet will hopefully be much quieter in that regard as well
For me...Kevlar jeans aren’t probably going to be used very much. I wear business casual or dress clothes to work, so pants overtop of that will be needed.
My JR pants right now are fine. A little big but fine for now.
I’ll look into the jacket and helmet recommendations. I like the idea of...
Yes...I have spent a chuck of money at Fortnine already...:) They make it pretty easy and I've been happy so far.
I also value my skin....but I think used equipment (excl possibly the helmet) can be had for very cheap in practically new condition. Mostly though, I just hate paying 13% tax on...
Thanks for the feedback.
It's a sport touring bike that I will take to work...which is about a 30 min commute. Plus I don't plan on riding on days that call for bad weather....so it will be mostly heat and cold that I will be concerned with (cold in the morning, heat in the afternoon).

Although I have ok gear now....I am looking to upgrade/renew pretty much all parts of my gear.
None of the colours match my current bike (red gear, green bike) and some of it is quite old....my lid is 15 years old now.
Can you all make some recommendations on best-value gear for...

I’m considering buying some tools and doing it myself. I know in the past I’ve had troubles finding a shop that will install tires that you bring in.
Looking to just bring in the wheel and rubber to a shop, but not if I’m going to get...
Looking at getting back into motorcycling....I've been out of it for a few years since my insurance was high, but now it seems to be ok.
I'm looking for a sport touring type bike, something with lots of performance but comfortable to ride on a 1 hour commute to work.
I was thinking of the...
EESA gun club open house - June 7/8 9am - 5pm
Details substantially similar to prior years, though there may be some increases in ticket prices (ammo has been insane the past 12 months).
All are welcome with the exception of anyone subject to a firearms or weapons prohibition order.

Asking $6k for a 2004 Yamaha R6 with 8,500km and new tires. As is, but needs nothing...some small upgrades.
based on other R6s, price seems fair. What do you think?
