We watched this gem of a movie, Stand Up Guys. Very entertaining.

This is a great Pacino movie if you’ve never seen it, worth rewatching if you have. We’ve started to watch some of the older movies too. Funny as De Niro and Al Pacino have come up in a few. It was more about acting, a good story and less special effects.
Good thing about getting old is you can watch them and only a scene or two are remembered but the rest of the story is brand new.![]()

We watched Red and Red 2 over the weekend and they were great entertainment. John Malkovich stole the show. His expressions were hilarious.SISU - It's Kill Bill except with a Finnish guy and a bunch of Nazi's.
Polar - Little weird but also a bit entertaining.
Red 2 - Second time seeing it and it's still a fun watch.
That would be them. Great fun movies and I agree that Malkovich chews the scenery.Kinda interested in these Red movies you all have been mentioning. These are the ones with Bruce Willis?
The best part of them are how amazing the filming is. Beyond Thunderdome didn't quite stand up to it but the rest are amazing. First 1080P movie I watched that had me up and trying to count the pebbles on the road.Still good!
They are both well executed movies, classics of pop culture. For me they are more then just the filming, which is excellent. There is also no fluff, or little of it. Meaning every scene, dialogue, and action has purpose for the story. The best part of them are how amazing the filming is. Beyond Thunderdome didn't quite stand up to it but the rest are amazing. I said the same thing. Went back and watched it - it has a few warts for sure but it watched a LOT better than I remembered it.I'm not crazy about the first movie Mad Max, it's ok, it's kinda rough and awkward. Maybe I should rewatch it and see if my opinion still holds up.
I wonder where they found all the gaunt actors and extras.Approximately 2,800 Australian prisoners of war (POWs) died while working on the Burma-Thailand Railway during World War II. This railway was built by the Japanese to supply their troops during the Burma Campaign.
The Burma-Thailand Railway, also known as the "Death Railway," was constructed by Allied POWs, including Australians, and forced labor from Southeast Asia. The construction involved brutal conditions, including starvation, disease, and physical abuse, leading to a high death toll among the workforce. Over 12,000 Allied prisoners of war, including the 2,800 Australians, died during its construction
