Cheap GPS device @ Canadian Tire, may be great for warm weather rides.

Okay I have a unit and i'm having some trouble with modding it. Please bare with me as i'm not the most technical person with this stuff.

I have a 4 GB SD card i'm using. I downloaded the YFGo2CE file that Masalma posted, as well as the files in the "iGO Complete" folder on Vlads FTP server.

I put the YFGo2CE file on the SD card by installing it in the Curtis GPS then via USB cable. I assume the unit is now unlocked as it now boots up in the MS OS. I tried to connect the GPS unit to the my computer again to add the unzipped iGO complete files that i downloaded on to the SD card. My computer won't recognize the unit now. What have I done wrong?

Sorry if this was answered already but i took a look through the previous post and didn't see an answer.

I find that occassionally after a GPS restart my computer won't recognize the unit. I have to unplug the USB cable and plug it back in after a few seconds gets it going.

Either that or it's switch to either ActiveSync or USB storage mode from the opposite. Boot without the SD card in place and check the system configuration settings.
 
it comes with a few layers of padding on the bottom, so you can adjust the height inside

Very nice, reminds me of idiot-proof (this is a compliment!:cool:) step-by-step instructions I used to make for corporate applications back in the days before they started to "push" them through the network. I just suggest that you remove the FTP details and link directly to post 88 instead. As explained before, I may have to change the password or otherwise restrict access at a later time and all the necessary info will remain in that post.

I have everything working -bought 4 units

But while testing the device i cannot get the speed warning to work - I made sure to check all the boxes and the audio is on

I tried setting the percentage warnings at different levels but no go

I dont think it is working - has anyone experecined the same issues ?

Yeah couldn't get the warnings to work either. Guess I just shouldn't speed:p
 
Vlad...I saw in a earlier post you helped a buddy out with his...could I pay you to fix (unlock & upload iGO) my Curtis GPD359? (I bought a 4GB SDHC card for this task.)
My older computer needs to be taken in for some issues and I'm totally lost with all this stuff.:confused:
I could really use the help and I see you really know what you are doing!! I also live dwtn and as I earlier mentioned...I'm willing to pay!!

I tried everything but i can't get the daimn TTS to work... I tried susan, kate and saved them under the root directory of SD card under tts_log.. could anyone please chime in and help me fix this.. Just to let you know that i have 2 curtix gps.. on one the tts works but on the other i can't get my mind straight as to what is going on wrong.. both sd cards are identical..

You would need to delete the iGO files off the SD Card and use the original iGO folder on your computer then copy the TTS folder to it, then move it all to the SD Card and do a fresh install.
 
Did you copy the working card? all hidden files etc?
