We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Damn....was hoping this would die along with JT...

They gotta get in first...
If the lie-berals lose the election my guess is all their efforts on the gun control file will be put on the back burner.

They don't even know wtf the deal is with revocations...
"We will revoke the licenses of those convicted of violent offenses"
Dude, licenses get revoked for much lesser reasons already...

Reminds me of the meeting at Toronto city Counsel back when the feds were floating the idea of allowing municipalities to impose handgun bans...
The chair asked if ANYONE at the meeting knew what the process was to legally obtain a handgun... Crickets.
Meeting adjourned until they could figure out what the existing laws/rules were before coming up with their plan.
'Never heard a word afterwards

Chicago is pretty tough on guns Mr. Carney.
Guns as inanimate objects are not, nor have they ever been the problem when it comes to crime.
But they're scary and an easy target for both bad policy and a great opportunity for grift. It is very clear that he is following the expected path as JT 2.0. All the same bad policies, a new face, same anger if you dare to question his lies.

There is hope... I really thing the general public has come to realize its all lies and BS.
Even people with no skin in the game see right through the scheme.
I think non gun owning folks would be shocked to know how many of their neighbors own/use firearms for sport.
Within an hour of my address there are no fewer than five very active shooting clubs. make it a two hour radius and you can at least double the number of clubs/ranges.
One of our problems is that most sports shooters are very quiet about their sport(s).
No one wants to deal with the idiotic comments from morons when they find out you shoot..

"Oh, better not piss you off... LoL"

There is zero shooting in my neighbourhood (not enough space). I know quite a few neighbours with gun safes but none choose to publicize for obvious reasons. Afaik, no active shooters or hunters. Got licenses and guns and locked them up. Within earshot, someone really likes shotguns. Hundreds of shells touch off most nice weather days. Probably out back on someone's farm.

I live in what you could call "the suburbs"... Not far from the Burlington Rifle & Revolver Club.
'Was a member there for about 20 years... When I left the place had a membership of about 1900 people.
Another club I've been with for almost 30 years is about 45 min. from BRRC had roughly 1000 members.

When my girls were little I used to get a kick out of the dance-moms when they'd find out my kids shot...
"OMG... How can you expose your kids to guns?!!... That's so dangerous"

"'Safer than hockey" I'd say as they stand there next to their other kid with a broken arm from getting floored at the rink.

We sports shooters should come out of the closet

Years ago, my niece (<10yo) was waiting for the school bus with her grandpa. She saw a rabbit and got really excited. "Grandpa, go get your gun. We can shoot it and eat it for dinner". Most of the other parents and kids were shocked.

It’s funny how quiet gta shooters are , I’m on the Oakville / Burlington border and there are at least five clubs within forty five minutes of here . The guy right next door is retired police and doesn’t like guns , three doors down are husband and wife Toronto police service and I’ve never seen them in uniform much less with a side arm . I’ve never seen a long gun enter or leave a house in my hood .

People are sneaky Lol... You probably will never see someone put their gun(s) into their car.
My friend who lives in a very up scale condo in Burlington... His neighbors must think he's addicted to snow-boarding.
'Carries his gun case inside a snow board bag.
As far as uniforms go... ONLY on duty getting paid man. I'd never wear mine on my own time.

funny about the sneaky , my friends with Perrazi and Kreighoff guns are happy to wear a ballcap or T shirt but would never put a sticker on a car or truck . They say its bad enough going to a shoot in the US where a CDN license plate near the event will attract the attention of thieves , follow to your motel and when you go for dinner , steal your stuff . I didnt think there was a market for stolen trap or skeet guns , but when a barrel set is worth 5-6k , anythging is a target

Where the Eff are you seeing Perrazi barrel sets for 5-6 k.. Lol

Pre covid I shot regularly in the US.
Michigan, New York, Kentucky, Georgia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Colorado and New Mexico...
Often the local hotels were so booked with competitors that theft of ANYTHING wasn't much of a concern.. Lol.

Perrazi ? look at a 32" trap o/u ported competition barrel on pacific arms website , $4769.00 US dollars , Krieghoff is about the same , unless its for a K80 competition gun , you'll spend 5-6 there . K80 trap gun new is about $28,000 , you can buy a Berretta DT-11 for 12k now , top of the row Browning Skeet is $6K , unless you think you need a browning B25 , then you'll spend 30-40K.
The Ontario Krieghoff dealer doesnt keep any stock , he orders in by sale , The Alberta guy has two in inventory 28k and 32k respectively.
The Briley tube sets to go into my Kreighoff K35 was 5K US 6 yrs ago , infinitly cheaper than extra barrels. This clay target business can be spendy, and yes a $600 Stevens 505 will break targets , just not 200,000 of them.

Any recommendations on local places to go get a license? I won't be able to before June but come second half of summer I'll have the time available and want to finally pull the trigger (pun intended) on getting my license.

Look around it's an easy 1 day course for non restricted. Personally wouldn't bother with restricted as there isn't much left. I did mine at the university of Waterloo.

I’m buying my shells up at Hummasons in Ancaster , challenger twelve , eight shot , one oz for $ one hundred eleven a flat . Sail store has them for one nineteen . Yes they are dirty cheap shells , I can’t afford the fancy Rios or double AA . Only problem is Hummasons is no charge cards , debit is ok .
