I found Freedom to be very spotty in Markham, I've literally had it go to roaming out in an open field if I go to the other side of the field.

KInda like when you visit Niagara, you start to roam in the States, and you get the welcome to USA roaming text from Freedom.
(eventhough you haven't crossed the boarder)

Yeah, radio waves don't care about borders, but with other network you don't have to keep roaming on to have service in Canada.
