Freezing fun: Registration now open for Numb Bum endurance ice race! - Adventure Rider
Winter in Canada. Salt trucks. Blizzards. Chinooks. Time to put your motorcycle away, wait […]

An hour and a half northwest of edmonton is a long haul. They could freeze their ***** off closer to home and run a parallel event on Simcoe (eg Newman racing will be riding for 24 hours on this day, join us if you want).
You need to find a friend with a Kawasaki Mule and plow! That is quite a hike.
I'll mention it to Kyle and see if we want to do something on Simcoe with a few people. It's all covered in snow again and we don't have a plow so making a track is no easy feat.
Years ago we used to shovel a small track on Soldier's Bay, a small bay off the Holland River with road and parking access at the bridge on Queensville side road. Easy access and not too deep. Some folks cut the ice and ran open water cross events there too.I take that back. Aparrently Parks has shut it down
Back to shoveling a tiny track on Simcoe.
