where are all the end of season track bike deals??

Finally parted out the F4 in my previous post: sold the chassis/engine and fairings. I'll update with a parts list soon, I would really like to see them be used on a bike here as that bike died a premature death due to my neglect and lack of funds to get on track these past 2 years.

Best guess would be for the water pump? If so, could be the most obvious symptom of a collection of major issues.

There's a thread here with a similar complaint. Could be someone forgot to drain the non-antifreeze water from the motor over the winter, and it froze, potentially causing all sorts of damage...

A roll of the dice that it's just the shaft that's damaged for someone with the know-how and gear/space to drop the motor and split the cases?

If so, I'd say $1400 is about right, particularly as there's little in the way of blingy track bits to part out if the motor turns out to be DOA.

While I'm here, @Wingboy what's the etiquette around linking to threads in other forums? Some places frown on it, others don't, just want to make sure I'm not crossing a line...
 
yes the engine could be damaged !

but, it may just need the water pump ? Would need a close look and inspection.
bike has a pretty extensive parts list - race plastics alone are 800+ ; but I don't see any pics of them, just a statement of them being included.
nice parts bike or maybe better ?

Depends how long and hard the motor was running with no coolant circulation.
As long as the links don't take you to Pornhub. You are fine.

Looks to me like it's only a tail unit, as the forks have a number board mounted. Rest is mostly consumables with little value except the M4 slip-on, which is about $400 CAD new, so $150-200 used, depending on condition...
 
Impeller shaft is baaad news, I wouldn't touch this.
