Any BMW G 310GS owners? How is the bike to ride? Any feedback would be appreciated as I plan on buying one. Also I am 5 ' 8. So would like to know if anyone in the same height range or shorter has any issues riding the bike

Definitely take some time to sit on the bike to see how you feel ergonomically. And id also suggest you take it for a test ride if possible. That said, you can use this site to see how you roughly would fit/look for your specific bike! Motorcycle Ergonomics

Took a demo ride on the 310 with a group of other BMW bikes organized by Mark Minnie of Wolf BMW last year.
Was able to keep up with the bigger bikes (ran it against the rev limiter in 1,2, 3). The 310 steered easily and stopped well.
The bike is made by TVS in India, but the assembly, fit and finish is of BMW standard.

So many variables.

Are you a new rider? Do you need to get both feet flat-footed on the ground to feel comfortable?
What's your inseam? 5'8" with a 33" inseam is different than a 5'8" with a 27" inseam (which would look kinda funny IRL)

The G310GS is listed at 32.1" seat height, but that only tells part of the story. The seat is on the narrow side, so your legs dangle straight down, which means it's not as tall as a bike with a lower seat height but wider seat.

Wet weight is listed at 375lbs which is about average for 300cc bikes out there. It just means if the bike leans over too much one way, you might be able to save it and bring it back upright if your inseam is long enough.

I'm 5'7" (while standing on a phone book, with boots on) with a 30" inseam, and I've sat on a G310GS. The balls of my feet were touching the ground, just short of flat-footing the bike.

But my current ride has a 38" seat height, so I'm used to only getting one toe on the ground on perfect terrain. If you're a newer rider and need to get both feet flat on the ground, I'd sit on one in the dealership, lean it over side-to-side (but not too much!) while sitting on the bike and see if you're comfortable bringing it back upright.

BMW also has a lower seat you can get which shaves off some of the cushioning, it's about an inch lower than stock. But I think at 5'8" with an average 32" inseam, you shouldn't have a problem.

I demoed the 310 street model at Mosport in 2019. I was not impressed.

Recalls galore on this bike. Maybe they fixed things in the 2 model years since. Friend of a friend has one. Also, based on your other thread, you sure you want to pay BMW service rates for basic maintenance? This bike is ok at 401 speeds but I can't see anyone wanting to keep it forever.

Just... don't buy one new that you can't sell for full price. Its probably the worst of the beginner bikes available to choose from.

KTM 390 Duke/Adventure, Kawasaki Versys-X 300/Z400, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Honda CB300R/CB500X, Suzuki DR-Z400SM. I'm sure i'm forgetting more, but literally any of these instead of that G310.

Ok, maybe not the Vitpilen cause I wouldn't be able to justify the cosmetic tax over what is a body kitted 390 Duke. Better yet, just don't buy new.
