Selling bikes...

I have been selling motorcycles (trade ups from when I first started) on and off for about 5yrs now but this is the first time its been so dead. Normally I get asked dumb questions, given ridiculous offers and of course the scammers wanting to over pay by PayPal but so far I have only a couple of nibbles (mostly asking if bike is still available then I never hear back)

Anyone else struggling?

Things are flat for sure. Tire kickers and low ballers but not much else is happening.

Boat and RV sales are brisk so I would think bikes would be too.

I'm about to place one of my bikes on the market so will follow on this thread.

I follow Powersports Dealer News from the U.S.
Personal watercraft, side-by-sides, off road motorcycles and ATVs are selling well, both new and used - on road 2wheelers not so much.

Toy sales are up and your $ is worth a whole 74 cents today ? Everybody is struggling to stay entertained.
? and holy in only 5 years, just how many bikes have you bought and sold. Never mind you don't have to answer that, just tell me to pi** off

The person I bought my bike last Fall from, wanted to get into competitive fishing. Guess that requires a boat.
We need a boat sticky!

For me: I bought first bought a Honda CBR250 to get my feet wet, year later I bought a Honda Shadow 750RS and then finally a mint 2014 Honda NC750X (the one I'm selling now)

For my wife: Honda CBR250 (Identical to mine... we are both the dorkiest riders ever!!!), then Suzuki SV650 (I couldn't keep up with her so that was short lived ) and then finally a 2013 Honda CB500X (the one I'm selling now).

Its just never been this slow. I'm almost missing the scammers

Since March I've sold a Husqvarna 450, a versys 650, a klr650, and a z1000. The klr 650 and z1000 were both bought AND sold since march. I'm currently riding a 2021 yamaha tenere 700.
If its priced realistically I've had no issues moving bikes.
Tha cb500x is an extremely popular bike, you should have no problems selling that unless its damaged and/or overpriced.
