What should it to do when you brake hard coming into a corner and then power out of the turn?
It doesn't have a BMW monoshock anti-dive front end it has conventional forks, the chassis is always going to pitch forward during hard braking and when you switch to hard accelerating, yep, I sure hope the weight abruptly transfers to the rear. That's a crappy way to say it has no rebound dampening if that was the intention.

This was the response I received from one dealer on a NOS 2016 fz 09:

"Hello Mike,

Thank you for your interest in our 206 FZ09. This bike is still available and comes certified. The bike has all new fluids in it. It was just uncrated and wasn't previously ran. The tires still have a protective coat on them.

The battery is brand new. Let me know if you'd like to come and see it in person.

Please note that we are operating by appointment only at this time."

Asking 7900 plus hst, seems like a great deal on a brand new bike, considering all the NOS mt07s out there are about a few hundred more.

Its a good price and a great machine.

17+ would be ideal, was refreshed.

My only knock is the power leaves something to be desired, but I've always like the last VFR gen. The noise it makes when the other 2 cylinders fire up is glorious.

I've heard that about the vfr, but personally I never found mine wanting for power. Mind you the PO had dyno tuned it with every bolt on mod you could think of, and it's the only one I've ridden so I don't have a comparison to a stock one.

If you can't ride one of those in excess of twice the posted limit :/ it's not the bike that is the problem.

Why not a hybrid Repsol/Superleggera livery? REALLY deepen the mystery.

Joking aside, the resemblance is uncanny. Not a bad thing imo.

I'd concur with others that so long as it was stored inside a lot of things will be just fine, including the tires.

Brake fluid? Arguably, yes, have the dealer write it into the purchase agreement that it gets changed, but even that is probably ok - it's braking heat and ambient temperature swings in humid conditions that cause hygroscopic issues there. Sitting still in hibernation in a climate controlled environment? Not so much.

Brake lines and all that, again, unless it was sitting in a barn or in the sun, almost assuredly fine.

It has a new battery.

Tires, unless you're someone who's going to take another 5 years to consume them, fine.

None of what I see concerns me at all aside from if it's a good deal or not.

you have not seen me on a street bike. my wheelhouse is almost anything with 2 wheels and a motor.
Doesn't your street bike have compression and rebound dampening adjusters? Mine does.
I don't wheelie by accident I have good throttle control and I also know exactly what a bike feels like when it has poor dampening control. What do you ride again?

He's not entirely wrong.

IIRC it didn't get independent rebound and compression until 2017. The fueling was so bizarre on certain modes that just a tickle of throttle could power wheelie in 1st and 2nd and maybe 3rd. I didn't like the suspension much on my 17, can only imagine how others deal with it on earlier models lol.

well you get what you buy, and if it has less then satisfactory suspension and that would suck,
but accidental wheelies

isn't that why you buy a short wheelbase 400 pound motorcycle that has over 100 hp ?

Should have bought the MV Agusta. The engine spins the other direction like a GP bike and that keeps the front wheel down better when you Launch it out of corners.
