As a new rider and soon to be father hearing about this story has really hit me, and everytime I turn on the TV, it seems to be airing. So I set up the page to get things going, however as mentioned I do have my first child coming within the month and know my kind will be elsewhere and wont have the capacity to manage this. If there is anyone who would like to help out, please send me a PM.

I've also reached out to a couple news outlets to try and connect with the family. Raising funds is great, but if they cannot get to those in need it becomes fairly useless.

Thanks for the heads up. I found the page, and yesterday the below update was posted. I have turned off donations and have reached out to the other campaign to see if we can pass along the funds raised so far. If that isnt possible I will cancel and start the return process with GoFundMe.

Another update. The family has agreed to accept the funds and any money that is not used in Radiuls recovery will be sent back to their home country to help other children that do not have care from hospitals like Sick kids. Radiul is still in very rough shape and will have a long, costly recovery, so any donations can be made to the below campaign.

Will they let you combine with the main campaign? This can't be the first time that multiple (non-scam) campaigns have been started for the same cause.

I messaged the original campaign and haven't heard back. I also dont jave a response from GoFundMe, but have asked that question. I'll update once they respond.

Update: I just heard back and the refunds are being processed.

"All of your donations have been refunded. Your donors will be notified via email. They will receive their funds within 3 - 7 business days."
