So who's building a 300 track bike?

So 3 of you will get podium!

Same odds as Pro 600 you mean?

JP may return in 2016.

EQ, JW and JT have moved up to other classes.

Wait and see what happens with CSBK 300 Series, may add more to grid.

To that point, if someone builds or buys the Kawa 300 for CSBK: review the rules for RACE production classes foe the low cc bikes. If you mod the front forks etc, you may push yourself out of the production class into the lightweight superbike class.

EDIT: My last CBR250 is now sold.

Is that top speed correct? 135km/h is much lower than i expected for a track that is "4km".

Edit: RACE 300 does not let you mod the front forks? oh dear..... what about the rear shock? The Kawa 300 suspension is terrible in the stock form..... i think the guy with 130lbs will win :)

That's average speed

Production allows limited mods on front.

You can change springs. Emmulators would be disallowed unless they were on the original bike.

Bummer. I forget, can you run clip-ons? One of my bars is bent.

Clipons are allowed

Below are rules of 2015 Lightweight Production. Keep in mind that I have no idea if 2016 rules will be the same.

I copied this from SOAR rulebook just because my phone didn't seem to want to copy from RACE rulebook pdf. They should have been identical but I have never compared.

Lol... He's not going to win because of his weight... ;)
I think people need to remember that there is more to racing than weight and the equipment.

You need to keep concentration for the period of the race riding at your max... not easy
You need to not make any mistakes
You need to have corner speed
Know the fast lines
Have balls to make passes and hit corners at fast speed

...etc etc etc.

once you get all that under control, then the weight and equipment gives you an edge.

Not easy people, not easy. Not forgetting that you must also have the time, money and dedication to race a full season, sounds easy but it is so hard to actually do a full season.

is their a possibility your "team" will be running an R3 ? along with the sv650?

Not likely.

2 SV650 and 2 600.

I had considered a Ninja 300 but with Kawa/CSBK unable to provide guidance, I have moved to make my plans for 2016.

We will be running the appropriate classes at Shanny.

Which trackdays will you guys be bringing your small bikes to next year?

Bakaboy told me Riders Choice does Shannonville on Thursdays so I might do that.

Too early to tell, nothing is posted yet since the 2015 track day season just wrapped up. I checked R/C, GP Bikes and Pro6 websites on the weekend, no 2016 schedules.

Yep, I'll probably do a couple of RC's Thursday trackdays.
Also, Shannonville do Friday trackdays, for racers and trackday riders combined, before the RACE weekends too ....

I am feeling the Christmas spirit coming and since I want to see the small cc bike class grow.

I offer the following:

For all new racers who join the grid for Lightweight Production for Round 1 at RACE in 2016:

I will pay your transponder rental fee for that weekend ($45).

If you have raced before, sorry you are excluded.

EDIT: RACE has my proposal in writing and they will administer some form of system before the first round to manage my offer.
