Good alternative to Icon helmets?

I own 2 icon helmets, one for my use and second for gf use. The thing I find to hate about Icon is the way you replace the visor, it is not quick and requires some fiddling around at times.

The helmets that I do own are Icon Alliance Dark and Icon Airframe Manic

Which helmet alternatives would you suggest that are easy to swap visors and have a quick release strap

Bell

I own a Bell Vortex, shield changes are quick and easy, much more so than on my AGV and Arai.

I think the Vortex is discontinued but the newer Qualifier should be similar.

That is a nice helmet. You can still buy Vortex from Canada Motorcycles and Revzilla, it doesn't look like it's discontinued. I had my eye on Bell RS-1 series for a while now, but somehow been with Icon since it's the first helmet I ever got... Eh... But it's pretty nice helmet for the buck. Now only have to find a place where I can wear one of this so I get an idea what helmet size I need, both of my Icons are medium but the Airframe is way more loose then my Alliance and it's pretty hard to drive on highway with the Airframe just jerks your head like crazy if you try to shoulder check and all. But honestly I'm more fed up with there visor swapping which is stupid, have to remove the covers then the visor and then have to fiddle with the visor in order to get it into the groves... Annoying.

You know any good Motorcycle stores around Mississauga/Brampton/Toronto with good selection of gear and all? I know too places BPS in Brampton and Cycle Studio in Toronto... BPS has very poor selection of gear so stuck buying online most of the time.

They are the Jofa of motorcycle helmets

The youngins probably don't even remember Jofa. It was already on its way out when I started playing as a little kid in the early 90's...

Those were the good ol' days of DR, Cooper, Koho...only brands left are Bauer/CCM and even they've been bought out now for a while.

I still have my Cooperalls. :p

bite the bullet and get a Schuberth. Or if you want inexpensive get an HJC.

What would you say about AGV? They got some cheaper end models. I did look into HJC but I can't get my hands on there RPHC series a particular helmet.

I haf cooperalls as a kid.

Nothing wrong with a higher end HJC.

Why do you want an Icon alternative? They are good lids.

It's annoying to swap the visors + I had my visor pop out while riding, had to take the helmet off and then the covers and then stick the thing back on and then the cover... See there locking mechanism is pretty ****** to be honest.

Yeh, just watched Revzilla review on it. They showed how fast & easy it is to swap visors and pointed out it has cutouts already inside the shell for communication system which is nice, as you don't have to cut things or have the parts put pressure on your face. Will look around if I can find a Vortex to try on and prob pick one up from Canada Moto
