PI Collision - W/B FGX nr Jameson Ave, motorcycle into guardrail, Hwy will be closed on arrival ^ma​

They've shutdown all westbound lanes on the gardiner; they're not letting anyone through.

Vehicles stopped W/B on the FGX east of the collision are now being reversed back to Spadina Ave off ramp ^ma​

no info on rider's condition yet, hopefully everyone is okay.

My apartment overlooks the Gardiner. The traffic hasn't moved an inch in 15 min. Sadly I think after seeing all the police and fire trucks on scene we might have the first fatality of the season.

Yeah i was one of those cars stuck between Spadina and Jameson for about 2 hours. Asked the officer about the cause but he had no idea either. They ended up turning us around car by car to go backwards on westbound and exit at Spadina.

Im guessing the cause is the horrible shape of Gardiner at that spot and perhaps speed? But even at regular highway speeds, that are constantly wants to push you our of the centre of your lane even in a car. The road is all kinds of messed up in that area.

Can definitely say that stretch of the Fred gardiner expressway is dangerous because of all the construction. Drainage grates that was btw the barrier of e and w traffic are now in the middle of the road and the lanes are all over the place
