Pretty big contrasting mix of styles. Like the bastard love child of a V-Max and a Stryker.

According to early reviews, it's a tiny bike, which is a shame. Stop building small cruisers - big, fat guys like cruisers.

Nice. Change a whole bunch of things and this bike might have potential.

Seems like a direct competitor to HD Sportster 1200 Custom.

The 6 spd tranny is nice for highway.

Looks nice. I wouldn't mind taking it out for a little scoot.

Basically the bike can do it all, I guess except for an off-road as they don't mention it ...

For comfortable cruising, the Indian Scout is it. For carrying the Indian torch, the Scout is exactly what a modern Scout should be: a reflection of heritage, not an imitation of outdated technologies. For performance, the Scout delivers. Its rev range is wide, it’s easy to ride, its neutral steering feels spot-on, and its single front rotor gets the job done with great feel and a light touch. At peg-dragging speeds, the chassis feels solid and confident. We now know where the “sport” in Sportster disappeared to; it’s in the Scout. If you like motorcycles at all, the $10,999 Scout is the “it” bike of today.

Other than the fenders I like it. Motor is built to rev though. Peak torque at 5100?

Was about the start the same thread. I like the design philosophy behind the bike, such as the conscious decision not to put any fake cooling fins on the motor, or not trying to dress up a tube-steel frame. I would love to see one of these in person I think.

It looks out of proportion...yet they somehow managed to get it to weigh 560lbs, so they put a single front disc on it. 'murica.

I like the flowing fenders and fuel tank. It's got a real meaty look to it. Substance. And a little bit of extra weight isn't going mean a pinch of c*** s*** on the loneliest hiway in America. If anything that's a bonus. You never hear a Sherman tank raked over the coals on wall thickness. Well, do ya?

you can guarantee the aftermarket accessories guys are already logging overtime with some great looking bars and bags for this thing in the works. By next summer there will be some beautiful incarnations of this on the road. After what? five or six ownerships of the Indian brand somebody is getting stuff done. And the reason this thing will sell very well? its American and its not a Harley.

First and foremost it's an attitude on wheels. Indian knows what butters their bread. It's a safe choice. I think it's kind of neat looking like the Kawasaki Drifter was kind of neat looking. It's a cheap ploy like the PT Cruiser. Large segment of riding population will buy into that. Why not? Instant cred. Can't think of another technical hobby where so much is given up for cool.

For the sort of turkey who really cares about "cred", only the Chieftain (w/Thunderstoke motor) will cut it. That radiator is basically garlic to HD's undead design philosophy and customer base. Performance without expensive aftermarket "customizing" is also an anathema to cruiserdom.

Wouldn't mind to take one for a test drive :) would be a nice bike to ride around town with. Not sure that it'd be a bike I'd tour on, but to each his/her own.
