Lets see your track/race videos!

Nice, looks good. That must have been very annoying with the messy turn 6 that day. I love getting on the gas hard out of turn 5, probably my favorite part of TMP. If I could make a suggestion, it looks like you're having a hard time getting your body position right after hard braking into turn 1 and turn 2. I like to set my body position before I start my hard braking.

Skip ahead to 1:40 in this one to see what I mean.

Ahhhh yes I was thinking about that while riding but forgot all about it. Sometimes I would have to reposition while turning because I didn't lean off enough. Will try that next time. All criticism welcome. Still have plenty to learn.

You don't have to lean off a lot, as can be seen from my videos, but everybody is comfortable with a different style. Some people hang off so far that they don't leave themselves in a good position of control. ie, outside arm stretched out, outside leg with the inside of the knee on the seat. If you lean off too much, and get out of shape mid-corner from a sudden slide or something, then you could have a foot slip off a peg and fall off the bike in an extreme case.

Thanks. I remember watching this vid before and not really understanding it. Now with a few TDs it's starting to make sense. I also just realized I got a lot to improve on. I should be setting up for the turn earlier and I'm moving to the up position too early after the corner.

I also want to try putting pressure on the heel of the outside peg. I found my rear end getting light while braking so I couldn't brake harder.

if your ever interested in a bit of help, myself and a number of other guys that run in the faster group are usually willing to give you a hand and some pointers. Most of learning track is simply seat time.

Ya you already offered my friend raf and I at smp but our times got mixed up. That day so many people were willing to help. Very cool. Hopefully see u again. Can't miss that ghostbusters fireblade.

Very nice lap considering you had traffic. Took some courage to take that much speed through 6 with that mess on the ground.

From last year at Calabogie, see notes on video.

Yeah, a really messed up line and quick tip in for 6 but after the cars drifted through it at least the concrete dust didn't stick to your tire (wait till you see the session I upload next, the after spill one. Almost full highside every lap, no matter how slow I took it!).

Ah. Works for me because it's my Youtube channel, I suppose. I'll fix that.

Do they offer track coaching at mosport for bikes? (Links?) I've seen some bad lines in some vids.. its so critical to know that track well. I took professional coaching years ago in my car and it helped me so much. The coach didn't ride with, just spotted at every corner. It was unbelievable what he could tell me just by watching.

If you go to Mosport for a Pro6 Cycles track day you can get some help for $30 extra. I'm not sure about Rider's Choice, but pretty much at any track day there will be somebody experienced there who would be willing to show you around.

Ask the organizer for someone to lead you around. The only people I know that rent mosport is Pro 6 before the nationals and their days are top notch.

Riders choice also put on a well run day.

BOTT LW race from yesterday. My first sprint race ever. Started from the second spot on the grid and I think we had eight bikes total. The lost era heavyweight bikes were gridded in front of us. That got a bit confusing at the end as you will see if you watch the whole video. Admittedly the video is a bit dull. Not sure why I chose the ***-cam perspective.

You had people on the sidelines cheering you on, nice. Not too far from the track, though... GB might want to get a control on that...!
