Hey, i'm guilty of revving my engine from time to time to warn someone, but hitting the limiter for over 3 seconds?

Contribution to quality thread:

I remember going to L&L years ago on an "off" night and chatting with the two or three bikers that were there. At some point, one of the riders (who had a Honda that he was disappointed in for some reason) starts his bike, which is stone cold, and immediately starts to continuously bounce it off the rev limiter (possibly to look cool). I think every single one of us lept to our feet to get him to stop.

Sure why not, on my little 2 fiddy I hit the limiter at 40 km/hr in 1st. Mind you I don't usually charge out of parking lots at 40 into oncoming traffic.
 
Just last Thursday at L&L I was near to calling cops for noise complaint for very loud music. I moved my bike to the other side of the lot. Its really bad when you need to shout to talk to another 2 feet from you.
L&L Thursday night have been a place for me to relax since 2006, its a place to end a midweek ride or talk to people to set up ride for the weekend. It slowly degraded into a d*k fest. Just wait a few more weeks and security guards will start to show up. I hate when other people mess things up and it screw everybody.

Sure, you don't care. Until they injure/kill someone else in the process or if god forbid, some day it's someone you know. Then you'll care, right?

I'm sure if I wasn't in a parking lot, I would have gotten a ticket instead.

This likely happened because there were complaints of noise or what not so the cops came to harass the rest of us just minding our own business, or the group they saw ran from them so they came to take it out on us. Like it or not, what other riders do DOES affect us.

EDIT: Might I also say that I overheard another rider ask the other cop (while one was harassing me) "are you guys ****** off because somebody ran from you?". The cop's response was "No, we'd run them into a wall if they did so". They were clearly ****** off at the ones that initially left.

"Police are inbred" says the...... never mind. Pretty sure most of them have criminology degrees nowadays. It's just a job and they happen to deal with clowns all day. Wonder why they were ******. The riders who actually ride don't go to stupid meets and we actually ride. If we get pulled over, it's for a damn good reason..

The plate position is your fault, not the other riders who were acting like idiots. Who enjoys riding in Toronto anyways, it's horrible.
 
As soon as I hear someone hit the rev limiter I immediately know they're a squid seeking attention because they've bought a sweet ride and have mad skillz....yo.
